Dress: Topshop tie front midi dress (c/o)–it’s selling out quick, but it’s also fully stocked at Nordstrom, they have it in tons of colors, too–black, this gorgeous pale blue, pale pink, and olive (which is so great for fall, too!) Sizing: runs pretty TTS unlike most Topshop stuff which runs small! I’m wearing a 2! I also love this version and this version! // Sandals: Loeffler Randall (marked down on Tuckernuck for $277!) // Initial Necklace: similar here, but this version is less expensive and part of the sale, too! // Hair: curled with a T3 whirl curling wand (my T3 blow dryer that I LOVE is also on sale right now! It makes my hair noticeably more shiny than any other blow dryer!) // Bag: Cult Gaia Ark bag (fully stocked! Hooray!) // Sunnies: Tuckernuck (Yay! These got restocked too!!)
Happy Tuesday, you guys!
How is the week going so far?
Sorry for the lack of post yesterday! I was super busy trying to check approximately 600 things off my wedding to-do list. I didn’t even have time to sit down and start my work day until about 5pm! Gah!
Can you believe we’re only 45 days out!?
It’s both exciting and also very stressful because I feel like I still have way too much to do!
Luckily at the end of the day I was able to get outside and ride my bike to a coffee shop and that helped a lot. I JUST got a brand new bike that I am sooo excited about! (You may have seen a sneak peak on my insta-stories!) It’s the Superbe bike in white from Raleigh Bikes and I am so in love with it! My other bike didn’t have any gears and now riding one with gears makes me wonder how I even survived before! Life is so much easier now, haha!
This week I’m hoping to knock out a ton of wedding stuff! (You know, wrapping up all those little details.)
Then, on Friday we’re having a rooftop party at my friend Kai’s apartment and I can’t wait! She just launched a new catering company with two of her friends and they will be handing all the food and I was basically drooling today discussing the menu with her! (Check out littlevent if you need caterers in Chicago!) She handled the cooking the entire weekend of my bachelorette party and I feel very lucky to get to eat her cooking two weekends in a row 😉
Anyway, I’ve been wearing this little red dress EVERYWHERE lately. It’s so, so comfortable and is probably the coolest thing I own (it’s a barely there linen fabric!) I think everyone should own a little red dress, it makes me feel so pretty!
I distinctly remember the first red dress I ever bought when I was 17. It actually reminds me of this one–it was also linen, but very loose–it hit at my knee and had two little whimsical buttons at the straps. I bought it preparing for my first trip to Europe post high-school graduation, and I loved it so much that I came home and purchased another one a month later–just in case something happened to the first one! In hindsight, this one is much more figure flattering, but it still gives me happy memories! 😛
This dress is from Topshop, but it’s also sold at Nordstrom, where it also comes in tons of colors! If red isn’t your thing–there’s a pretty pale pink, pale blue, black, and olive color to choose from, too! (It looks so cute with my favorite tassel heels, which are on sale right now at Tuckernuck!)
I love this style so much, I think the tie detail really accentuates your waist and is really flattering on so many different body types. Plus, the older I get, the more I appreciate midi dresses–you don’t have to worry about them riding up or blowing up in the wind, haha! I can even ride my bike with this one! 😛
