I was just checking my DM’s as I was heading out the door to venture to Trader Joe’s when I checked my DM’s and heard from you guys that there was a 25% off Nordstrom sale, asking if I could put together a sale roundup! (Of course! A little retail therapy is good for the soul, right? 😜)
If we’re being real here, this means Nordstrom is struggling. I have never seen this deep of a site-wide Nordstrom sale in my life. They’ve temporarily closed all of their stores and plan to continue to pay and provide benefits to their 74,000 employees during this closure.
Doing the right thing is an enormous financial burden on any company–I know we’re worried about supporting small, local businesses, but remember, the big ones that we hold dear to our hearts (that employ so many Americans!) can use our help as well! Nordstrom has always been my favorite retailer so I’m planning to place an order today to help contribute! ❤️
Of course, I realize that this time has already started affecting many paychecks depending on your industry. By no means am I pretending that isn’t happening, and I’m still learning how I’m supposed to navigate that balance here on the blog. I have many readers who want to shop and want my content to continue as normal, while many others are needing to tighten their pocketbooks during this time. I’m doing the best I can to please everyone, but please know that it is top of my mind at all times.
That being said, IF you’ve been wanting to purchase a few staples as we all go through this lifestyle adjustment, here are some of my favorites!
My favorite picks currently 25% off at Nordstrom:
I actually had a whole outfit post on three ways to wear this dress that I shot in San Francisco, but obviously, times have changed and that’s not exactly relevant anymore! The good news though, is that this dress is SO comfortable and a perfect thing to wear to work from home. I think it’s important to still get dressed in “regular” (albeit extra comfortable) clothes as we navigate this new lifestyle! I also plan to throw this on when Neal and I have “date” nights in at home now! Comfy, but put together! (I might even throw on heels if I’m feeling wild.)
(See my two other ways to style it for you to copy when we can actually go out and about again!!)
Also what I’m wearing with the topshop dress above! Again, I can’t stress the power of putting on real shoes when you really need to feel like a human, even if you’re staying inside for the foreseeable future. These flats are so wonderful because they really do feel like slippers! In the future, they’re comfy enough to commute in, and wear all day at the office as well!
I LOVE my Levi’s wedgie jeans! They’re comfortable and give a “cool girl” edge to any outfit you pair them with! They are a “work from home” favorite of mine because they aren’t too tight and I’m comfortable sitting in them all day!
Nordstrom’s Moonlight Pajamas have been a favorite for years! I have both their short and long PJ sets. And I cannot recommend them enough. I am immediately relaxed as soon as I pull them on––I look forward to them all day. 😂
My trick to drinking more water? This hydroflask! I only need to fill it twice to drink enough water for the day!! They have so many fun colors right now that will brighten your day!!
One of my bestsellers of 2019! These are the cushiest sneakers I own––if you want something that Is like walking on clouds––these are them! They come in a couple different colorways and I’m sure these will go very fast! Run TTS!
More picks from the sale:
I have these “relax” slippers in my cart! So many good slippers on sale, and of course, a work from home essential for when you don’t feel like putting on shoes~
I was not on the tie dye trend originally, but it’s hard to not smile when you’re wearing something fun and colorful, right!?
The cult classic Zella leggings are still fully stocked in black! All Zella is on sale!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen these go on sale. If you’ve been wanting the hair dryer or the air-wrap, now is the time!
I LOVE this brand and I love my slip products! I got both the mask and pillowcase for my SIL for Christmas as well––they make amazing gifts! (Also a great self-care gift for anyone who had a major life event affected by this madness. ❤️) I’d recommend the black mask for the most effective “black out’ effects!
Have you heard of LanoLips? This lip balm is the REAL DEAL. My lips are always so dry these days and I discovered this a few weeks back and now I never go anywhere without this stuff. (Note: it’s not vegan!)
