Happy Monday!
What were you up to this weekend?
We were in Indianapolis celebrating one of my best friend Courtney’s weddings! (I know, if you follow this blog closely, you’ll notice I have a lot of friends named Courtney.) I hope yours was just as fun!
Anyway–I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more importance comfort, convenience, and versatility have become in my wardrobe.
Case in point: I have two t-shirt dresses that I absolutely live in. One was literally $10 from Forever 21, is 5 years old and is ripping in the back (it’s embarrassing). But it’s just so cute and so comfortable, and I can wear it EVERYWHERE.
The other is a little heavier and long-sleeved, so it’s really more appropriate for fall and winter.
(Oh, and they’re both striped. Obviously.)
I realized that it’s completely absurd that I don’t own more than two t-shirt dresses. So Im happy to report that this casual little LBD has just been added into the rotation. GASP! And it isn’t striped! Bam, look at me, branching out and all.
It arrived in the mail at the end of last week, and I’ve worn it about 6 different times since then. From running errands during the week, to Saturday brunch with my girlfriends, then out to the bar at night with a pair of heels. It’s as versatile as it is comfortable–and I love that it’s a bit longer than a dress I would typically wear. Because with shorter t-shirt dresses, you risk the whole “blowing up in the wind” factor, so the longer midi length provides a little more peace of mind.
(Did I ever tell you about the time I was walking down the street when my dress blew WAY up without my knowledge and a lady driving by leaned out the window and screamed, “MAAA’AMM! YO BUTT!!! to me, and the rest of the several dozen people on Dearborn street.)
Safe to say, that won’t be happening in this dress. (THANK GOD.)
Anyway, along with this dress, I also have taken quite a liking to these new heels–I love the dotted calf-hair print and the fact that it’s a thicker heel–which works for both day and night. (Again, all about the versatility.) They also come in this really pretty olive color if that’s more your style.
I love this look and am ordering that t-shirt dress right now! My closet needs it — haha

It’s so comfortable! I would sleep in it if I could!! (I mean, I guess I could?)
Maa’aam yo butt!! I can’t stop laughing!
Hahaha I think it’s safe to say it was the #1 most awkward moment of life.
Love the dress and shoes! There’s nothing easier than slipping on a t-shirt dress and instantly feeling put together. I picked up a very basic one with a drawstring waist that hits mid-thigh earlier this summer. It’s my go to for a hot day if I don’t feel like dreaming up an outfit combo.
So cute!! I love this whole look!!
You look gorgeous from head to toe! I’m such a fan of midi dresses, so I need to look into this more casual T-shirt option. Perfect for heading into fall here soon!
GIRLFRIEND! Photos on POINT. And loving this whole look. And SO HAPPY you got your Madewell tote!! Hehe — Loveeeee! 🙂

Omg I have a favorite easy-t-shirt-dress too, it’s from H&M and is like a bajillion years old, has holes, and should be thrown out! But it’s so easy, and just too cute!! I live in it in the summer!! Love this look on you, happy Monday!
