My week was originally off to a not good start this morning (the internet was out–thus why this post is late, haha!) but my morning turned around when I had the most wonderful Uber drive named Wayne. He’s a retired Army vet with 5 daughters, full of life advice, was impressed when I *attempted* to explain to him what I did for a living, and when I got out of the car he said, “Go get ’em kid! Make a million!” ?If that’s not a great way to start a Monday, I’m not sure what its!
Also, how is it almost July 4th!?
We are now also officially in my birthday month! (July 9th is my birthday. I’m turning 31, speaking of–more importantly–HOW AM I THIRTY ONE?) I’ve never been a big birthday person but we’re going to see Les Mis (opening night) and I’m in tears I’m so excited. It’s my favorite musical and I’ve never seen it on Broadway. The day after that, we fly to California to see our amazing friends Kai and Kevin tie the knot –so it’s going to be a very fun, action packed couple of weeks.
Anyway–if you’re like me, you wait until approximately 3 days before a holiday or event to figure out what you’re going to wear–thankfully, there is Amazon Prime. I’ve been trying to hone my Prime stalking skills to find cute, quality(ish) Amazon clothes–it’s basically like finding a needle in a haystack but clearly I’m getting better at it.
Everything you see rounded up below is either from Amazon or Shopbop–did you know Shopbop has Prime shipping? It’s a serious godsend. The star of the show though is really this $33 ruffle maxi I’m wearing above. I wore it out on Friday night and I don’t remember the last time I adored an article of clothing this much. It made me feel so pretty and summery! ?(It runs TTS, I’m wearing XS!) Head over to insta stories for a try-on with a couple more favorites, including this white swim cover-up/tunic for $18, and these super fun earrings for $15!
This obviously goes without saying, but all these picks will make great summer staples (great for travel too!) not just America’s B-day. ?
