So, remember when I wistfully dreamed of finally having “grown up bedding“?
Well…it actually happened! You got a sneak peak of it in this post–but really, this bedding deserves a parade of its very own. When we moved, we got this beautiful white chevron quilt set from Crane & Canopy. I opened it like a kid on Christmas when it arrived, and it did not disappoint!
(Also, please note. This is a post about my amazing bedding–don’t mind the fact that our bed is an unsightly box spring sitting on the hardwood floor. Our bed didn’t arrive until after these were taken–haha! I promise we have a real bed! #AdultingStruggles :-P)
For the past–I don’t know–10 years? I’ve been living and sleeping on bedding from IKEA and Target. (I once also owned a Victoria’s Secret Pink bedding set in college? Impressive.) Not that I have anything against those stores, but having cheap bedding in our master bedroom just felt a little ridiculous now that we own our first home.
It took me so long. (SO. LONG.) To pull the trigger on anything. I’d flip flop on the regular over what I wanted. Like my walls (white. Duh.), I like my bedding to be subtle, letting the accessories do the talking.
I actually have had my eye on Crane and Canopy bedding for years now, so deep in my little heart, I knew I’d get my hands on one of their quilts at some point or another! They make really amazing products without the crazy mark-up. (Which is obviously always a win for me.)
We both absolutely love this chevron quilt. It’s super soft–100% cotton–and has been perfect in the summer months because it’s super lightweight, but it will also be great with a cozy blanket layered underneath for winter!
Another item of theirs I’ve been eyeing is the Nova Duvet Cover. It’s SUCH a smart idea–as someone who has the patience of a 5 year old and REFUSES to mess with duvet covers (really, Neal has to do it every time) it’s a completely godsend. It combines the concept of a duvet cover and a flat top sheet–so you can make the bed in seconds! (Told you it was genius.)
Ah we need new white bedding! I was just thinking that the other day. This looks so polished and calming!
