Behind the Scenes: Our Cabo Girls’ Trip!

Hi from San Francisco, guys!

Hope you’re having a great week so far. I can’t believe I’m missing the 80 degree weather in Chicago this week for the 60-something degree weather in SF, but that’s okay. I’ll still take it. ?

We got here yesterday and I worked in a coffee shop downtown for a couple of hours (we had to rush straight to the Financial District for Neal’s meetings!) and then popped by Nordstrom (duh, haha) because I had to pick up a couple things in preparation for my trip to the DERBY this weekend! Wahoo! One of my favorite things about being in a new city is just walking around–is that weird?!

Anyway, today I’m sharing some behind the scenes photos from my girls trip to Cabo with my old college roomies, Michal (her last name is Strange, thus, her name is just “Strange” ?), Courtney, and Leia. If you’re planning a trip to Cabo anytime soon, you might find this helpful! (Also, I recapped our honeymoon in Cabo here and here as well!)

#LosCabos Airport Letters

Outfit details:

Airport cervezas: The best part about the Cabo airport is that there are TWO bars right outside the front door ? obviously we grabbed some Coronas for the ride to our hotel, Villa La Estancia! Courtney’s parents own a condo there with their family friends, so we got to stay there for free (SO NICE!) If you’re interested in staying there, our friend Jane is a travel agent there and handles tons of vacation rentals at La Estancia and elsewhere! I wore my new favorite jeans (from ABERCROMBIE, haha! Run TTS. So comfy and so chic!), these super comfy woven slides (on sale, I wore them in yesterday’s post!), and my favorite white v-neck on the plane. (Actually…I wore the same outfit on the plane today, come to think of it. ?)

Cabo San Lucas

Dinner night #1: We went to Sunset Mona Lisa–duh–at sunset and it was absolutely breathtaking! You seriously feel like you’re in Greece. The food was also amazing and I can’t recommend it enough!

Another shot (minus Leia, she didn’t get in until Friday) of the girls at Sunset Mona Lisa! You can find my dress here! (It’s low-cut, so I wear it with these pasties!) I paired it with these adorable (and insanely comfy) espadrilles–they run big, size down!

Margaritas In Cabo

The following day we spent at the pool and then walked to The Office for lunch! It’s an awesome restaurant on the beach with great food and really fun atmosphere. (We got balloon hats from a balloon man–exhibit A below ?) The service is great, and you can go in your bathing suit! ?

Outfit details:

Anddd the walk on the beach on our way back to La Estancia. We had no fun, clearly. My cover up is from Amazon and is only $15! My suit is from (where else? Abercrombie) and I’m obsessed with it! The top and bottom are sold separately but are very affordable! They also have other colors!

Cabo Girls Trip Boat

Outfit details:

That night we did a sunset cruise on The Rissalina. I would highly recommend this–it’s a smaller, more intimate experience (there were only about 10-15 others on the boat with us!) It’s run by a local family who serves homemade Mexican food and awesome Margaritas! I wore this striped Splendid dress which is a super breezy and soft linen blend–definitely taking it to Italy, too! I paired it with my espadrilles, again and these adorable Baublebar earrings!

#Cabo Letters in Cabo San Lucas

Post-boat cruise, we went out in downtown San Lucas–which was super convenient because the boat drops you off at the harbor right downtown. There are so many bars within walking distance right in a row, you can hit them all! A touristy photo with the CABO sign was obviously necessary.

Outfit details:

Our final night we went to Flora Farms–one of my FAVORITE places ever. I’m actually going to be doing a whole post on Flora farms in a few days, so stay tuned! In the meantime you can buy my top here, pants here, and sandals here!

Have you been to Cabo? What were some of your favorite spots?

P.S. Did you see my Cabo Packing List?

Next time be sure to go to San Jose del Cabo in Thursday Art Walk. Great fun. Beauriful art amd items not found elsewhere. We like Jazmin’s dinner and dance show. And the Paleteriw, ice cream store right on the sqare. Frozen fruit &ice cream bars, the best!

Im a Mexican girl, I live in Mexico City, but I´never have been in Cabo. For us, the mexican people the most Cabo is a very, very expensive place. But I keeping dreaming about it. Some day… It sounds like a very fun time for you and your girls. That was great. Greetings from here.
