Casual sequins

Hooray! I made it home for the holidays and on the other side of my travel mishaps. I’m officially in the Pacific Northwest.

At the time these photos were taken I could have doubled as a human tumbleweed flying down Oak Street. It was just a LITTLE windy this Wednesday. Luckily, the hat held my hair in place, which is funny, because I had never originally planned on wearing it. Ever since I got my hair cut I think I look like Aunt Jackie from Roseanne when I wear hats. Seriously. Can’t you see it though? A little…?

But Kelly and Blair assured me otherwise and convinced me to wear it. Plus, I kind of had to, to keep my hair from sticking straight out in 89 different directions.

But enough about that and let’s get to the sparkly center of today’s post: SEQUINS!

You love them for the holidays and New Years Eve, but there’s really no reason you can’t wear them casually, either. I love this top from Piperlime, because it can be dressy on its own, but with a long sleeve tee (or turtleneck…I’ve got an unhealthy obsession) layered underneath, paired with some distressed jeans, it’s the perfect daytime look!

Top: Sabine from Piperlime (c/o) // Jeans: Joe’s Jeans from Piperlime (c/o) // Beanie: Gap (similar below) // Shoes: Zara (similar below) // Watch: Anne Klein // Bracelet: Anne Klein // Bag: ShopBop (c/o)
