We’re back in Chicago!!
Isn’t it funny how you feel like you’ve been gone forever until you walk in your door, and then it feels like you never left?
Paris was an absolute dream. It was more wonderful than I could’ve even imagined. I’m so sad it’s over! But I’m also extremely thankful to be home in our own comfy bed, getting back to eating healthier food (I don’t know if I ever thought I’d say this, but I can’t look at another french fry for awhile) and getting back into my yoga routine! Plus, we have so many amazing things coming up to look forward to.
For one, we’re moving next weekend! And I haven’t started packing anything! (Don’t let me fool you–the procrastinator in me wouldn’t have started packing this early anyway.)
If you didn’t catch the news on Instagram, we bought a condo! Eeeek! It’s in Wicker Park neighborhood and we could not be more excited. Get excited for a lot more home posts! (Do you have anything you’d love to see in particular?)
So, aside from playing catch-up with work (I don’t know which is scarier, my to-do list or my inbox?), we’ll be working on getting the condo freshly painted (it’s currently a super hot beige color at the moment!), then I’m leaving again on Friday AM to head down to my college town, Bloomington IN for my friend Courtney’s bachelorette party!
THEN next Monday is when the packing really starts! We move a week from this Friday! So much excitement happening the past few months–and it’s only just begun!
Oh, and did I mention that coinciding with moving, Kelly will be having the baby at any moment!? Getting uncontrollably excited. (Plus, we’ll be keeping Noodle for a few days while they’re in the hospital, which as you know, I can barely contain my enthusiasm about.) The best news: her place is only a short bike ride away. (Even a long walk!!)
Anyway–that’s what’s going on with me behind the scenes. Get excited for more Paris posts soon, and also–thank you SO much for all the sweet birthday wishes! Nothing like starting 28 with a bang, right?!
