Happy Tuesday guys!
I’m SO excited for this post. If you’ve been following my blog for any amount of time, you probably know that Everlane is one of my favorite brands of all time, and that they were at the top of my list of brands to collaborate with. Well–BIG career win, because today, I’m partnering with them to showcase a few items from their new line of shirt dresses–AND Neal is styling some of his favorite items from their men’s collection. (This, plus Italy on Friday=best week ever, am I right?!)
If you aren’t familiar with Everlane, they’re a small brand I’ve loved for years (seriously, since the beginning!) that is making a big splash not just with their beautiful, high-quality, yet affordable designs–but with their dedication to partnering with ethical factories with fair wages, reasonable hours, and ideal working environments. They have a whole section of their website where you can learn about all the factories they partner with, and see photos and videos of all of them!
Every Black Friday, in lieu of massive sales, Everlane chooses to donate their profits from the day to better the lives of those who work in their factories around the world. Last year, they built an organic farm for workers in Vietnam who have trouble getting access to fresh vegetables without pesticides.
Their prices are cheaper because they sell their items directly to consumers, cutting out the middleman. On their website, you can even see how much each item would cost with the traditional retail markup, vs what Everlane is able to charge for it! It’s really awesome! If you want to start feeling better about how you’re shopping, you definitely want to look into this brand!
Anyway–I own so many Everlane pieces that it would take me hours to compile a post of every single one of my favorites, but today, we’re excited to share some pieces from their newest summer product launch! These are easy staples you can throw on and run with–wherever you’re headed!
Ready to jump in? Let’s do it!
Dress + Shoes c/o Everlane, Madewell Bag (Everlane also makes a similar one–their Market Tote gets two thumbs up from GG readers! It was included in my reader favorites favorite work + travel bag roundup last week!
Ladies first! We’ll get into Neal’s favorites in a second but I was really excited when their new line of shirt dresses came out because I know you’re always looking for versatile pieces that can be worn in and out of the office. The best part about these is that they’re such an easy, one and done outfit. You really just need a pair of shoes, and you’re golden!
Plus, they come in some adorably cheerful striped patterns! (Don’t worry though, if patterns aren’t your thing–they have solid colors as well!)
Perhaps my favorite of the collection is this collarless shirt dress, with its cheeky bold stripes and a tie that flatters and defines the waist. Here I’m wearing it with my favorite heels–Everlane’s Day Heels. I know, I’m a broken record–I talk about them all the time, and I’ve worn them in countless blog posts (you can see a bunch of them right here!) This is a look that could be suitable for both an office meeting or a date.
The dress would also look adorable with sandals, wedges, sneakers–pretty much any kind of footwear you own! It also has POCKETS! Huzzah!
I went one size down to a 00, which is what I’m wearing here, as I prefer my items to be a bit more fitted. If you’d like it on the looser side (or if you’re bustier than I am), go with your normal size.
Their heels do run a bit small–I’ve realized this is a very personal preference. If you’re in between sizes I would go with the bigger one.
The material is lightweight cotton (kind of the same material of any standard button down). Wrinkles steam out super easily, so big thumbs up there! I wouldn’t say it wrinkles terribly easily either, definitely average.
Also comes in solid navy, solid light blue, and a blue and white stripe!

Above outfit: Everlane dress c/o, White Greece Sandals (Everlane’s Bridge Sandals are very similar as well–I own them in black. Once broken in they’re probably the most durable/comfiest slides you’ll ever own!)Raffia Tote, Ray Ban Sunnies Below outfit: Everlane dress c/o, Everlane Wrap Sandals c/o, Similar Tote, old scarf
For our second dress of the mix–the long-sleeve shirtdress–I couldn’t decide which I loved more, the yellow stripe or the classic white–so I chose both ?
It’s another staple that will transition perfectly from work to the weekend–pairing well with everything from casual sandals to heels. Throw it on as a cover up over a bathing suit, or button it up and wear it to a board meeting. (Another plus: the sleeves add extra sun protection outside, and AC protection in that icebox of an office!)
Sizing: I’m went a size down (I’m wearing a 00 and I typically wear a 0 in shirt dresses).
Material: Like its collarless cousin above, this is made of the same 100% cotton fabric that is pretty similar to a classic button down you’d wear to work!
Length: The length of this dress is longer than the collarless dress above. If you work in a more conservative environment or prefer your hemlines a but longer to provide more coverage in the back, I think this length will suit you! This one also has pockets! ? The way it’s cut, it still allows a ton of breathing room despite being longer!
Everlane Wrap Sandals: I also got to try out Everlane’s new wrap sandals (styled with the white dress below) and they did not disappoint! If you’ve been looking for a minimalistic summer sandal that goes with everything, I highly recommend these! They run true to size. I do think the leather will soften with break-in, but I wore them around the neighborhood last night and didn’t get any blisters! Planning to take them to Italy with me!

Everlane For Him:
Short sleeve button down + chino shorts (both $55!):
Now, it’s Neal’s turn! ?
He was so excited to try out some of their mens items–he’s never worn anything from Everlane before and my hypothesis was proven correct–he loved everything he got! Much like their womens items, their menswear is ideal for the guy who needs staples that can work for a casual, yet professional office environment, to a weekend, travel, and everything in between.
First up, the short sleeve linen button down:
Neal loves linen shirts–they’re cool in both the temperature AND fashion sense ? this one is cut to be a little boxier to make it extra cool for hot summer days. If your guy likes things that give him a little more breathing room, he’ll really like this shirt. Neal rolled the sleeves a bit for a little added interest but that’s obviously optional!
Second, the chino shorts:
Neal went with the 7″ version here–you know how much he loves his short shorts ? but I think these are the perfect length. They’re really polished, so they’d be great for a casual Friday at the office but casual/stylish enough to wear when he’s out with his friends. We both also love the slim cut–nobody looks good in boxy shorts!
As for colors–they come in TONS of them, but I love that he went with the burgundy–it’s different but still versatile!
If your guy prefers a longer length, they also come in a 9″ length as well!

Men’s Linen Long Sleeve Button Down:
Then we have the long sleeve linen button down: For a more casual look, Neal paired the same chino shorts with this shirt. I love that it comes in a bunch of colors and patterns–the navy mini stripe is especially perfect for travel because the color and pattern disguises dirt and stains!
For accessories, you don’t need much! He went with a classic white sneaker (he loves this pair! They’re SO lightweight and comfy, yet super polished!) some sunnies, and his favorite casual watch (it’s really affordable and he has like 15 different colors of watch straps that he interchanges it with–they’re like $10 each!)

(P.S. Post photoshoot adult slushies from Foxtrot Market were in order ? You have to try one if you live in Chicago!)
What do you think of Everlane’s newest additions? I hope you love ’em as much as we do! You’ll be seeing more of them in Italy–stay tuned!
