There’s something about the changing of seasons that makes you want to plan a getaway, right? As I’m writing this, there are about a hundred little mini-destinations rolling through my head. (Michigan wine country? Milwaukee? Nashville? Hmmm…)
Naturally, the best part about planning a vacation is deciding what to pack! I’ve rounded up my favorite fall vacation-inspired essentials above, but let’s talk about some of the stand-outs in detail, shall we?
Mules:
Mules have been attempting to make their way into the mainstream for a couple years now, and I think they’ve finally arrived. I love the easy of the slip-on, slip-off, which makes them especially perfect for travel. (Be it for airport security or bare feet on the dashboard!) They come in flats and heel varieties, but naturally, I gravitate toward comfort 😉
Denim dresses:
It’s no secret that I love a good chambray top–but chambray dresses make getting dressed even easier! I love this boho version with tassels (it’s on sale for $80!) but they’re pretty unbeatable in all varieties, and they’re idea for that summer-to-fall transition period.
Fall hats:
To replace the straw wide-brim beach hats of summer, there are felt, suede, and wool alternatives for fall! They add a lot of personality to any outfit, keep you warm, and are equally as adorable as their summery sisters.
Bandanas:
Did you really think I wasn’t going to sneak some sort of scarf in here? I wear my bandana non-stop year-round, but it’s really most perfect for fall. Red is the classic go-to, but I love the more coral-y hues of this one!
Plum lip color:
My latest beauty obsession is plum lip balm! Plum hues are very big for fall, and I love how it’s dramatic, yet such a fun switch-up from my usual red!
What’s on your fall vacation essentials list?
Love your pics, lady! Also, you should definitely do a wine tour in Michigan. We go every fall to Traverse City to taste our favorites!
Michigan wine country sounds like a fun weekend, I want to go! Loving the chambray dress 😉
Kristina does the Internets
Michigan is so beautiful in the fall, definitely a good spot to visit! And on the topic of lip color i.e. the best topic, Glossier makes an amazing plum lip color! You can layer the color so the more you put on the darker it is and omg I am loving it, so many options in one tube.
