Last Thursday was the best.
I met Cassandra at The Robey for lunch. We caught up on so many things. You know the way that you do with your good friend you hadn’t seen in forever but it’s basically like you could’ve seen her yesterday. We hadn’t seen each other since before Christmas! We both had avocado toast and split an overflowing bowl of the most perfectly crisp frites, and then shot a bunch of pretty photos! Oh, did I mention it was almost 60 degrees outside!?
This week though, has NOT exactly been like that. ?
As I mentioned yesterday, I came down with a cold on Monday and it’s pretty much thrown off my whole week! I haven’t gotten nearly as much as I had hoped done. I had a bunch of appointments I had to reschedule. The house is a mess and I feel like I should probably just chalk this week up as a loss. I’ll have to start working on our home to-do list later. Do you ever have weeks like that where you blink and just wonder what you actually accomplished?
The good news: I HAVE purchased some pretttyyy great finds lately that I can’t wait to share with you. I’ll be styling them on the blog soon! The good news is that all of them are under $100 (okay all but one), and so many are great for work, too!
Keep scrollin’ to shop all of my finds under $100!
I just got this sweater dress and I’m so excited to wear it out for a date night this weekend! It’s a great staple that will look adorable at work (you could layer a white button down under it too to mix things up!) and for a night out! (I plan to wear it with OTK boots!) It also comes in blush! Plus, it’s on sale for $38!
I am OBSESSED with this new faux leather jacket. I just wore it this past weekend, and it’s another staple that will work for so many occasions. Wear it to work over your favorite blouse and a cute pair of ponte pants (I styled them four ways over here in my latest capsule wardrobe post!) or slacks, and out with high-waisted jeans and a slinky camisole (my new fav is below!) $87
You’ve heard me chattering on and on about Abercrombie lately, and I really love their camisoles! I recently got this lace-trim one and it’s really pretty on its own or layered under a cozy cardi for a casual daytime look, or jacket for a night out. $28
I have been wanting a simple “little black dress” for EVER and I finally found it. Leith, one of my favorite brands makes it! I love it because it’s short, but not too short (so it’s perfect for work), you can layer things under it like a cute jumper (like I styled here!) and it’s super easy to dress up for almost anything. The prices is the best, too–$49
When I asked you guys where you go for work clothes and what your favorite work wardrobe staples are, several of you mentioned Leith’s work trousers, and although I haven’t tried them on myself (I plan to order them though to test out for you guys) they also get amazing reviews online! If you’re looking for new work pants, give ’em a try and let me know your thoughts! $55
One of my besties, Ally, flew in from Memphis for our friend Courtney’s 30th birthday last weekend. She was wearing these boots and as soon as she walked in, I exclaimed, “What are those boots!” because she’s one of the only other people I know with calves as small as mine, and they actually FIT! They’re Sam Edelman, and they have a drawstring in the back so no matter what size your legs are, they really stay up! I couldn’t wait to share them with you! $87
These tees are my new obsession–they’re reversible! V-neck on one side, crewneck on the other! How amazing is that? Plus, they are SO soft. I got them both in stripe and black (below!) $39
Speaking of work pants, I’m working on a “business casual” capsule wardrobe for next month, and these are the other pants I’m contemplating styling. They’re from Everlane and I love that they’re drapey and look so comfy, and love the olive color they come in! When they’re more relaxed, they’re easy to pair with more casual items, too–so you get more wear out of your “work” pants! $88
My absolute FAVORITE new sneakers! My mother in law got them for me for Christmas (she is the BEST!) and they are soo comfortable and I love how minimalistic and beautiful they are. (Really. What other sneakers would you describe as “beautiful”?) They’re made of wool, and you don’t even have to wear socks! $95
Another favorite recent buy that is great for work (can you guys tell I’m REALLY taking your workwear requests to heart? Haha!) I’ve already worn it several times and it looks so cute with pretty much everything I’ve paired it with! OKAY OKAY I know it’s technically $20 OVER $100…but it’s worth it. Promise! $120
