I’m so excited to share my feature on Lauren Conrad that came out this past Monday! It really could not have been posted at a better time, seeing as this is the coldest week we’ve had in Chicago yet.
The best thing to do in weather like this? Hole up in your apartment and make something warm and comforting. (Seriously, it’s too cold to even go to the store. Just use InstaCart–that’s what I do!)
I had so much fun coming up with the recipe for these apple cinnamon shortcakes, topped with homemade whipped cream and a drizzle of brandy caramel sauce! (Soooo good.) I don’t even like dessert, and this is my jam.
My mom made the best strawberry shortcake in the summers when I was little, and her secret was always using really great scones! (Not that weird yucky sponge cake stuff.) So I decided to create a winter version, and here it is. You might recognize some of the photography also (hint: this was shot back in October!) Do you know what post it’s from?
Head on over to LaurenConrad.com to see the recipe.
