Happy Thursday! (Doesn’t it feel more like Friday? Why is that?)
Last night I attended the new Rent the Runway store opening party in River North, which was perhaps one of the coolest parties I’ve been to in awhile. Not to mention, I’m ecstatic that it’s opened right in time for wedding season! Then the girls headed to Henry’s Swing Club for some post party cocktails and dinner (which was amazing–have you been yet?)
It was a MUCH needed girls night out. Now that things are finally thawing in Chicago, I’m so excited to actually be social again!
Okay, so I GUESS that’s why it feels like Friday to me. I’m usually in bed by 10 on most Wednesdays ;-P
Moving on! I’m just going to come out and say it: I love this rain coat. It’s the perfect spring jacket. Its lightweight, but still warm, waterproof without actually looking like a rubbery rain coat. It’s perfect! Plus, it has an adorable navy and white striped liner (and you know me and stripes.)
I also usually hate the color yellow. I think I own two yellow things, I’m not really sure why, but I just gravitated toward this sweater. It’s so bright and cheery, and slightly nautical at the same time. I think I’m warming up to the color.
And I could not feel more cool than when I’m wearing these navy suede oxfords (blue suede shoes!!) There’s something about them that is so classic and timeless, like I would have worn them as a child had I gone to prep school.
Now, get out there and enjoy your almost-Friday!
