Years ago, I would have told you that I had no patience for stores like TJ Maxx. Weeding through racks and racks of last season’s clothes to find one hidden gem is not an ideal way to spend time for a girl who has arguably less patience than a 10 year old. I can tell you, though, in confidence, that times have changed. There was no rack perusing, and I wanted to buy everything in sight.
When TJ Maxx asked me to partner with them for the fall launch of several high-end Chicago stores, I jumped at the chance, and couldn’t wait to see what was behind the doors of their new Canal street location. Would it be the experience I had stuck in my head long ago? Or would it be a new, life changing way to shop?
It was the second one. Definitely the second one.
Let’s chat about this for a second. Everything I’m wearing here is from TJ Maxx! Neal had to practically drag me out of the store (side note: but not before he bought an amazing Ralph Lauren Blazer!). While I may have spent $250 over my own budget, I saved over 50% of what I would have paid regular price! My favorite? My new Pour La Victoire booties for $169. (Originally $300!)
I am. Officially. A Maxxinista.

This shoot ended up being one of my favorites. Although the weather is still well above what I would define as “cool”, you couldn’t deny the air of fall in the park. The pretty sunset, warm breeze, and cute little crabapples falling from the trees. (Or maybe I just REALLY want it to be cold enough to wear these boots everyday?)
So, if you’re a Chicago gal, get into a TJMaxx ASAP to see what amazing finds there really are! The Michigan Avenue location opens tomorrow, September 4th, and a little birdy told me it’s going to knock your socks off. Check out the below for all store opening details. Not in Chitown? No worries, you can shop from anywhere, online!
