Ha! Made you look with that headline, right?
We’ve got a lot to discuss today, so make sure to keep on scrollin’ till you hit the bottom of this post!
Let’s jump into the whole free booze thing first, though.
There’s a big party tonight at Del Frisco’s, and believe me when I say, you want to be there! It’s put on by my friends at Windy City Blogger Collective, and it’s open to bloggers, readers, and those who just really love open bars. It’s a little thank you to everyone who has supported the Chicago blogging community over the past year!
Yep, that’s what I said. There will be free champagne, wine, and passed appetizers (Del Frisco appetizers, I’d like to reiterate). All night long. Plus, some of your favorite local brands will be there offering great discounts, so you can knock a few items off your Christmas list while knocking back some delicious Sauvignon Blanc. Coming? Make sure to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org. Is there anything better?
Yes, there is one thing that’s better. These high-waisted jeans by Henry & Belle. It takes awhile, sometimes years, to find the perfect pair of denim skinnies. But I found them. They’re high, but not too high, have the perfect amount of give, and skinny enough to fit inside my boots, but not make me feel like I’m sporting 80’s-tastic denim leggings. It’s also really hard for me to find jeans that don’t have that weird gap in the back, and these fit like a glove.
Those who join us at Del Frisco’s can shop my favorite pairs of Henry & Belle jeans, plus a sweet little discount only available to event attendees. (In case the free champagne wasn’t enticing enough…)
Finally, let’s talk about THE HAIR!
You’ve seen a few photos on Instagram, but this is my first big reveal on the blog!
The amazing team over at Custom Hair Lounge was nice enough to give me my first lob (aka “long bob”…I had to clarify for my mother, who is reading this) This was a day of big milestones: not only did I chop off about 6 inches of my hair, but I also got a bit of (semi-permanent) professional color for the first time ever. I wouldn’t have trusted my virgin hair to anyone else, voted best color in the city.
The salon is a one stop shop, offering everything from cuts and color, to mani’s, pedi’s, waxing and facials.
Check it out for yourself, you’ll see why I’m in love! Plus, get 20% off your first visit when you mention The Golden Girl!
P.S. in case you’re a skimmer. Here are the three takeaways from this very detailed blog post: 1. Del Frisco’s — tonight — be there (free booze). 2. Henry & Belle: Best jeans ever, you’ll get a big discount if you come to Del Frisco’s tonight. 3. I love my new hair, and you should love yours too — that’s why my salon, Custom Hair Lounge, is offering 20% off to those who mention the Golden GIrl (first time visits only).
