Versatile enough for the gym, travel or a casual weekend stroll. If he doesn’t like working out in pants because they’re too heavy–he should try these, they’re so light!
An awesome gift for the fitness enthusiast that likes to mix things up vs commit to one particular gym. ClassPass is a monthly membership to over 30,000 gyms and fitness studios around the world.
Nike Flex Experience:
My favorite workout shoes of the moment. Great for lifting, quick runs, or cross-training and an easy fit in a carry-on.
Everyman Jack Body Wipes:
Not a substitute for a shower, just a great item to own for those post-workout meetups. Disclaimer, they’re a sponsor of ours, but they definitely didn’t sponsor the feature in this gift guide. This company is so legit, affordable, clean and I love all their products.
An awesome stocking stuffer or budget gift. I can’t rave about them enough- sound quality is good (not life changing, not bad), battery life is great (they charge in their little house), and if you lose them (like I have twice) they cost $20, so you’re not even mad!
Private Lessons or Membership For a New Hobby
This is a total one off, but my amazing wife bought me a membership to my Krav Maga gym in Chicago and it as been live changing. I had been talking about taking lessons for years–it’s been the gift that really keeps on giving! But this idea can be for anything–from a new skill he’s been wanting to learn to an instrument he’s been wanting to play!
This gym kit features all your fitness must-haves — from deodorant wipes to bandages to breath drops and socks. Great for gym enthusiasts and frequent flyers!
I still have not “pulled the trigger” on this, but it’s on my list. Excellent for any fitness junkie, it’s great for muscle recovery. (Recovery matters more and more to me now that I’m old.)
Jumping rope is an awesome workout, wherever you are. It will improve your cardio, legs and general athleticism. This one is super thin and easy to pack and adjust, so I bring it with me whenever I travel for work.
Lululemon Long Sleeve Breathable Shirts:
I wear long sleeves to do a lot in the gym. These shirts are the best. If he likes the gym, he’ll love these! End of story.
Mizzen + Maine Shirts:
Stylish, machine washable, no wrinkle, stretchy comfortable fabric. What else do you need? See my full review of them right here.
Bonobos Italian 5 Pocket Pants:
Fabulous quality. Great whether he needs statement or everyday slacks. They’re easier to dress up than a chino, super comfortable, and really sharp looking. He’ll wear them everywhere from the office to nights out. They run true to size for me.
See more of Neal’s Bonobos winter favorites (and reviews) here!
Catch-All Charger Station:
At $30 on Amazon Prime, this is a great budget-friendly gift for anyone. Your work husband, your brother––perfect for his desk, and he’ll always have you to thank for fully-charged earbuds and iPhone!
Every guy needs a classy briefcase, and this would be a great gift for any guy who just got a new job, promotion, etc! Mark and Graham makes really nice leather goods and you can monogram this, too!
Great for cocktails, wine, or that morning after ice water. If you don’t know what Yeti is, just buy these!
Orient Bambino 2 Watch:
A high quality, great value dress watch from a legendary Japanese brand. Comes in 5 colors!
I love Lolë’s Classon Coat and Irving Packable Jacket for different reasons. The Irving is warm AF, very stylish (something that has held me back from puffy jackets), and can collapse to the size of a fist. The Classon is basically the Irvings’ heavier duty big brother. If you have the budget to splurge on a REALLY warm coat–this is it. The Classon is also several inches longer and has a hood, which adds to the warmth as well. On the flip side, what you gain in warmth, you lose in space. The Classon isn’t packable like the Irving–which might be a big factor if your guy likes to travel a lot!
Check out my full review comparing the two coats here. *PSA- the Classon is on super sale right now!
Bonobos Travel Jeans:
A great change up from traditional denim. Adds some color to an outfit, and you don’t have to worry about the wrinkles. See my review of them here.
Not the MOST original, but Allbirds are popular for good reason! Great for daytime adventures, especially for vacation. I have both the wool runners (good for winter) and the tree runners (good for warmer weather because they’re more breathable) and give both two thumbs up. They’re an awesome, sustainable brand, too!
Topo Weekender Backpack:
I made it through a week in Europe with this on my back. Fits a ton, looks great.
Herschel Toiletry Case:
My constant travel companion. Fits every toiletry I need. (And I have more of them than the average guy. As you can probably guess. 🤷🏻♂️).
Jess got me a passport case before our first international trip together. I love it because I’m reminded of that every time I grab it, but also because it stores my Global Entry card and foreign currency in addition to my passport. Shinola and Mark and Graham both have awesome options, and Etsy has great budget-friendly options, too!
There is a brown, masculine version of the carry-on every blogger you know has. (Including my #1. 😉) And I have it and love it. It fit enough clothes for 10 days in Spain, and is also v stylish.
National Parks Pass:
(I’ve been wanting to go to Yellowstone forever). Good for all National Parks in the US, this is an awesome experience gift for him to open that will spark a much bigger adventure! It also gives back––REI donates 10% of sale proceeds through 2019 to the National Park Foundation!
“Build his Bar” idea:
Nice whiskey tumblers paired with a couple great bottles of whiskey make an incredible, zero fail gift for men of any age. (Tip: men don’t like receiving glassware unless it comes with booze, so don’t forget that part. 😉) We have a couple nice Waterford glasses (like this set for $100) we received for our wedding I love drinking whiskey out of, but we also have these affordable ones from Crate & Barrel! Pair it with some great booze–I always recommend Basil Hayden’s, it’s my fave! (This is also an excellent thing to get a guy you just started dating!)
An awesome, beginners level wine club. Choose frequency, drink great wine. If you get this for him, don’t use his credit card (p.s. thank you Jess for the membership, and we are very much beginners with wine too!)
Crate and Barrel/Frye Bar Set:
One of my favorite collabs ever. This is a killer gift for anyone & IMO every man needs a great bar set!
Weber iGrill 2 Bluetooth Thermometer:
This is great for guys who love to grill. It allows you to get exact, digital reads on your meat through Bluetooth connectivity. Ideal for winters, you can be nice and warm inside and don’t have to worry that you’re overcooking on the grill. The app lets you know when you’ve reached the ideal temperature for your meat- done and done.
Grill Light with Bluetooth Speaker:
Another great idea if your guy loves to grill. It lights the grill (nice to have especially in the winter) and plays music to keep you entertained.
Style is so specific regarding boots, but if you’re looking for great boots that’ll last you a lifetime, this is it. I recommend a nicer pair for everyday and dress-uped occasions, and a more heavy duty pair for crazy weather (the ones I have are 25% off too!)
Another “this is in every blogger gift guide” item, but guys, I’ve never met a Barbour jacket I didn’t love. I have a couple now–I have a quilted one they don’t sell anymore (but this flyweight version is similar and awesome) or any of the classic waxed styles. Jess got me the Bedale for Christmas a couple years back, and I love it and need it for six months of the year. And it is so well made it will outlive me.
Baxter of California Comb:
I know it will surprise no one that I love my hair comb…but seriously, this comb is the best. For any guy that puts effort into his hair (you know who you are), this is the best stocking stuffer. It’s also sold on Amazon, so it’s great as a last-minute gift, too.
High quality wardrobe staples are a must for every man. Everlane has a newer line called “Uniform” for guys, where everything is designed for year-round wear, and quality tested to ensure they’re staples that last for years. Get him on board.
Vinyl Me, Please:
This company is setting the world on fire and was actually founded by a high school track teammate of mine. The perfect gift for the avid vinyl music lover–a record subscription!
Continuing on the vinyl theme, if he’s into music and doesn’t yet have a record player, is SUCH a cool gift. We love our Audiotechnica–it’s definitely one of the top quality players for the money.
Kindle + Books:
Jess got me a Kindle last year and I have to admit, I love it a lot more than I thought I would. Even better? Pre-load it with a couple great reads for him to start–I recommend any of the following for any guy: Boys in the Boat, Endurance, Shoe dog, Grit, and The Chris Farley Show.
Most men don’t read enough for fun (myself included). Help change that.
