A couple days ago I got the urge to be extra crafty, so I picked up some leaves in the park and decided to do what else with them? Paint them gold (obviously).
I had some leftover gold metallic glaze from when I painted our kitchen table, so thought gold glazed leaves would make for some pretty fancy fall decor. Heads up- these take a LONG time to dry, so be sure to store them in a safe place where they won’t be disturbed (i.e. don’t be like me and leave them on your dresser?)
What you’ll need:
- gold paint (I think spray paint will work great too)
- q-tip for more detailed painting
- cotton ball or cotton round for dabbing paint on
- a handful of some pretty leaves, in a variety of colors
Not sure if I really need to get that specific with the directions from this point on…just paint the leaves! You can do so many different things with them, and they make perfect decor for Thanksgiving.
What are your favorite fall decorations?
