Wahoo! So much to be excited about today:
1. I leave for Milwaukee for my bachelorette party!
I am SO spoiled to have the best friends in the entire world who have the whole weekend planned out. Big shout out to my bridesmaid Kate, who is from Milwaukee, for putting together an awesome itinerary and Kate’s parents for letting us take over their condo for the weekend! (We’re actually doing a condo swap, so her parents–who are essentially my second adopted parents–are staying at our place in Chicago for the weekend!) And also to my MOH Tasha for being pregnant and driving ALL THE HOURS from Cincinnati to be here–I love you!
On the agenda: dinner at Cafe Benelux tonight, pontoon boating/bar hopping tomorrow (weather permitting, cross your fingers for us!) and my friend Kai (who owns a catering company called littlevent–she’s the best cook I know–if you need a caterer for anything, definitely look into them!) is making dinner on Saturday night, so it’s going to be the perfect low-key bachelorette weekend.
2. The Nordstrom sale is FINALLY public!
YEP. As if you hadn’t heard by now, there’s a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale going on! (Whaaaaaattttt?!) and now EVERYONE can shop it (not just Nordstrom cardholders!)
There are so many things to look for during the sale, but one of the biggest areas you’ll want to stock up in are shoes and accessories. Today, I’m rounding up my very favorites (so many budget-friendly buys to be had!) Remember, the items on sale aren’t the picked over remnants of summer, but brand new fall items–so if you want to purchase anything new for your fall wardrobe, now is definitely the time to do it! After the sale, they go back to their original prices!
First, we can start with THIS outfit!
The Sarto Paivley Booties: $86
Up first: shoes! There are so many awesome fall shoes at amazing markdowns! I’ve been looking for a classic pair of flat ankle booties for a long time now, and I’m so happy that I finally got these Sarto booties! Fun fact: that’s Sarto as in Franco Sarto–also known as my mother’s favorite brand of shoes because they are so comfortable. You have no idea how many times I heard the phrase, “my Franco Sartos” as a little girl. I first saw these online and then started giggling when I saw who made them.
But, she’s right. They’re SO comfy, chic, and best of all–super affordable, too! They also look adorable paired with my favorite new Rag & Bone skinny jeans. These jeans are the REAL DEAL you guys. I never bought into the Rag & Bone hype before, but now I am drinking the Kool-Aid. Jeans don’t get much more comfortable AND flattering than this pair!
Rebecca Minkoff Crossbody Purses: $116+
Admittedly, a lot of Rebecca Minkoff’s stuff is a little edgy for me, but I absolutely LOVE her classic crossbody purses! There are a lot of them on sale for under $200!
Halogen Cashmere Waffle Wrap: $125
This wrap is going to be your BEST FRIEND this fall and winter. Not to mention it is the best thing ever for travel. This is essentially the softest, chicest blanket you’ve ever laid eyes on. There are so many different ways to wear it, too! Wrap it over your shoulders, drape it around your neck as a scarf, or even belt it to create a cute poncho! It comes in the prettiest blue color, black, and grey too!
Monica Vinader Gold Friendship Bracelet:
I get so many compliments on my dainty gold Monica Vinader bracelet! It’s so simple and dainty–I usually wear it alone, but it looks super cute layered with other bracelets, too! I love all of her designs. This version is actually called the “Friendship bracelet”–Kelly and I both have them, and we always joke that these are our friendship bracelets, like we made them at camp or something 😛
Initial Charm Necklace
Anddd three other favorite shoes on sale:
Blondo “Olivia” OTK Boots: $189
If you want the look of the Stuart Weitzman Lowlands–you know, OTK boots that are form-fitting all the way through the calf and over the knee–these Blondo Olivia boots are the ONLY boots I have found that accomplish this at affordable price point! (I must have tried on 30 different pairs before I found these!) I got these last fall and Neal surprised me with the Lowlands for Christmas a couple months later, and I can honestly say I really love both! These are under $200, and they’re waterproof, too! One of the best fall/winter buys you will make!
Halogen Jacy Stretch Bootie: $79
These Halogen Jacy booties are so cute and will definitely be a fall staple. I love that they’re stretchy so they’re easy to pull on and they look so cute with everything! These run true to size as well, and such a great price! Also come in black.
Jack Purcells: $45
My favorite white sneakers are on sale in this super light grey color! They still look almost white, but I like that the new color is a fresh new twist on the classic! I find that mine run true to size. (See this outfit post from a few days back here!)
Happy shopping!! And follow along on insta stories for some bachelorette behind the scenes snaps! 😛
Thank you to Nordstrom (one of my favorite retailers!) for sponsoring this post! All opinions are 100% my own.
