Hooray! It’s almost Friday! (And Valentine’s Day!)
How has your week been going? Mine has been good, and busy! After trying out a couple different productivity techniques I learned about in this podcast, (more on that later) I feel like this is the most productive week I have had in a LONG time.
One of the big highlights of my week: Meeting Kelly, Maya and Lauren to shoot at South Loop Loft! I’m pretty obsessed with all things vintage, so the second I walked into this place I just about died. It’s got an antique French fireplace, gorgeous furniture everywhere you turn, amazing rugs, barware, and more. Plus, owner Beth is just about the biggest doll you’ve ever met. If you live in Chicago, you definitely need to visit! You can also shop some of their merchandise online if you don’t live near the city! More photos and details about that coming soon 😉
Anyway–in case you were sick of pink and red dresses (anddd if you’re not, check out this post) I thought this chic and simple date night outfit would be a great alternative when it comes time for V-Day this weekend.
Which, speaking of–this next week is a big one for us! Not just Valentine’s Day, but Neal’s birthday too! (The big two-eight! Eeeek!) We’ll be doing dinner on Valentine’s at Bavettes. Neither of us have ever been. (How, I don’t know. It’s rumored to be the best steak in Chicago!) I’ll let you know how it is! I’ll likely be wearing this identical outfit. (Because sometimes Chicago date nights are too cold for dresses.) There’s something wonderfully simple about a classic, flattering peplum tank with jeans and heels. (And a leopard coat–obviously.)
Then, next week, we’re heading up to Milwaukee. (One of my favorite cities!) I’m tagging along on Neal’s work trip to celebrate his birthday and you know, make sure there’s someone there to keep him company/annoy him during his work week! Hehe.
Anyway, we’re almost done with the week! Hooray!
