Hellooo from Bend, Oregon! (AKA, home.)
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind to say the least! This past weekend I road tripped to Reno to see family along with my sister and two youngest nephews. The car DVD player wouldn’t play any movies other than “The Great Outdoors” so you could confidently say I know pretty much every line, despite never actually “seeing” the movie. 😛 (They watched it SIX times!)
Going over the mountain proved to be a little scary and treacherous (luckily I was wearing my Sorel CVS boots because the trip required trekking through several inches of snow to make it to the bathrooms at some rest stops.)
But all in all, it turned out to be a pretty funny adventure, and we made some pretty epic “music videos” on this app called Triller in the hotel room. Have you downloaded this yet? It’s HILARIOUS and so amazing. Ever since Emily sent me the first music video she made of Gracie it’s been an addiction. It was a hit with my nephews. (This comes in especially handy when around funny family members during the holidays.)
When we got home to Bend (which is where my sister and mom live, for those of you wondering why Bend is “home,” I’m not originally from Bend!) we got another foot of snow, so I’m EXTRA thankful I packed these boots! I love the pop of coral they have on the bottoms and the laces–it makes them so much more special than your average pair of snow boots! However, if you aren’t feeling the color, you can also swap out the colorful laces with regular black ones. You can shop the Sorel CVS boots on both Sorel.com as well as Zappos! (If you order on Zappos, you can still get them in time for Christmas!) Or, if you live in the Chicago area, you can shop the brand new Sorel store at Westfield Old Orchard. (Fit tip: These run true to size!)
Now, I’m off to do some Christmas shopping! (And by that, I mean online Christmas shopping!) If you’re in the same boat, definitely check out this post, with 100+ gift ideas with FREE shipping that you can still get by Christmas Eve!
