If you’re like (typical) me, you probably haven’t had time to think about making your apartment festive for Valentine’s Day because something about this busy week makes you feel like you’ve been spinning in circles while getting little accomplished. Not that you would pull out the red, white and pink bells and whistles anyway- I mean, who wants a living space that looks like Candy Land’s night out? I don’t. But here are some really easy tricks you can do to decorate your space, especially if you’re entertaining on Friday night!
Work with something you’ve already got on hand! Thanks to Pinterest, The Chalkboard has spread like wildfire. Whether it be a chalkboard wall, sign, jars or cheese boards – we all have some variation or another. A short and sweet Valentine’s themed message is an easy way to get into the spirit!
Candy hearts may taste pretty awful, but they sure look adorable in a glass candy dish! They’re a perfect, subtle way to accessorize your coffee table along with some light pink roses. You can serve them as a snack on your bar cart, use them in your floral arrangement or sprinkle them atop your place settings!
Set a metallic tray on your dinner table or counter top with champagne, glassware, some pink straws and a red candle. Extra credit: Add an arrangement of red & pink tulips. Your table will look instantly festive!
