Tank: Old, but similar here, here, and obsessed with this Madewell version with buttons down the front. I have them in a few colors and they are one of the most versatile things I own! Jeans: Levi’s Wedgie Jeans–(also come in a darker wash) these are the straight leg but they also have the “wedgie icon” jeans, which have a tapered leg that is slightly more fitted. Shopbop has tons of pairs in stock right now in different washes! Sandals: Everlane Bridge Sandals (come in lot’s of other colors, too!)
Bag: Clare V Alice Tote borrowed from Shaheen (also comes in a petite size, which I prefer, because it’s super easy to transition from day to night with a smaller purse!) It’s so cute though and now I reaaallyy want one for myself! Earrings: c/o Kendra Scott (I’m actually wearing these for my wedding earrings–I had just come from my dress fitting so I still had them on!) Initial necklace: similar here, and here. Sunnies: similar here
My Go-To Casual Outfit
Hope you’re having an awesome Thursday! My mom gets into town this afternoon and we have my second dress fitting this evening. (EEEK!) I can’t wait for you guys to see it! Any guesses on what it looks like? I always love hearing all the different ideas people have in their heads. Hehe. You’ll know soon enough!
This weekend though, we have a small church ceremony happening at the lake house, so it’ll be a low-key, fun, family weekend! This past week I’ve been trying to get ahead on my posts but honestly have gotten nowhere due to lot’s of wedding to-do’s popping up. I’ve been going to Orange Theory religiously and I had my second appointment with Leah Chavie Skincare Boutique this week as well. I’ll be doing a full post on what treatments I did to prep for the wedding, so if you have questions, make sure to leave them below or message me on Instagram!
Shaheen and I shot this outfit after my first dress fitting last Sunday! (I’m actually still wearing my wedding earrings in this photo, haha! They are these earrings from Kendra Scott and are SO PRETTY!)
I honestly had no intention of shooting that day, but this is actually one of my most commonly worn outfits, so I thought it was something I should share, you know? This one is really one of my true “uniforms” and it really works for all seasons (just add more layers when needed and swap out the shoes!) Here’s the go-to combo:
The Slip Camisole:
I absolutely adore these types of tanks. I have a few in different colors, and I wear them to death. They are so simple, classic, and feminine. They can be casual, or they can be sexy. Basically, anything you want them to be–they’re the chameleon of wardrobes! If you’ve been wondering how to wear high waisted jeans, this is one of the easiest tricks! I love them paired with more edgy jeans especially, because they give just enough sweetness to balance them out.
In the fall, I like to layer them underneath a leather jacket (Nordstrom has so many under $200!), or a super cozy wrap (can’t wait to wear this one for fall). They also look great tucked into a suede mini skirt!

Levi’s Wedgie Jeans:
I lovvveeee love love these high waisted jeans. They’re called the wedgie jeans because they’re tight on your butt and make it look REALLY good. They come in two versions, the straight leg (which I’m wearing) and the “icon” which is a little more slim fitting. One note: they look really short on the model, but they aren’t that short on me. I’m 5’6, for reference. The pair I’m wearing run true to size if not a littttle small. They don’t have a ton of give, so if you’re trying to figure out the best size, I’d err on the side of caution and order two sizes, and return the one that doesn’t work! Pay attention to the fit notes on each different pair though, because again, they run differently depending on the wash/type of denim.
Anway, I call these my “cool girl jeans” because I feel wayyy cooler whenever I wear them. They’re a really easy way to make a statement, and I don’t think you can say that about a lot of jeans! (BTW, more examples of how to wear high waisted jeans over here.)

You saw these in Monday’s post, where I mentioned I wear them almost every day. I wasn’t kidding! They’re personally my version of flip flops because I keep them at my door and slip them on whenever I leave the house. (And they’re WAY cuter than flip flops, too :-P) They did require some breaking in, but now they’re super comfy and don’t rub at all. These run true to size, FYI.
