How is your weekend going? I hope you’re enjoying some relaxing time off!
Coming at ya with another special Cyber weekend edition post ?
This afternoon my mom is heading home to Oregon ?It was so much fun having her in town for Thanksgiving–I wish she could’ve stayed longer! But I can’t be sad for long, because today is also Neal’s Papa’s 80th birthday party–followed by my Sister in Law’s Karaoke birthday party ?It is going to be a PACKED day of celebration, let me tell you!
Anyway–it’s time for part two of my cashmere post! (If you missed part one, hop on over here and check it out, where I showed you how to dress up a classic cashmere turtleneck with a skirt and OTK boots!)
Right now, Lord & Taylor is offering 40% off sweaters–including cashmere starting at $49.99–the sweater I’m wearing here comes in over 28 different colors! Also, you can save up to 40% on boots for women and men, and an extra 40% off already reduced styles!
I absolutely LOVE a good cashmere sweater– it’s an essential staple in any woman’s wardrobe, but while everyone can appreciate it as a “classic”–I think it can easily be put in the box along with “boring” and “simple”–which isn’t true at all! Sometimes, the classic cashmere sweater is just the thing you need to take a certain item from “too trendy” or “too edgy” to “just right.” (This is what I like to call a “goldilocks staple” if ya catch my drift ?)
Case in point: Pairing it with leather leggings!
Leather leggings, for a lot of people, can feel too over-the-top and unattainable, and sure–they definitely can feel a little “much” when paired with the wrong thing–but with something like a classic sweater and flat OTK boots? Ding ding ding!
The faux leather adds *just* the right amount of juxtaposition to a classic outfit, and makes it FAR more interesting than it would be if you had paired it with jeans! Spanx arguably makes the best pairs, which have a control top (perfect for post-Thanksgiving ?) Note: They aren’t on sale here but see my sale post to see if they have them in your size marked down!
And speaking of flat OTK boots–when I asked you guys what you wanted to see in terms of my Cyber Week coverage–SO many of you asked me “What is the #1 pair of tall boots you’d recommend over all others?” and it’s hands down, Blondo boots! I’ve had mine for years and they are high quality, WATERPROOF, and are incredibly comfortable (no break in required).
Right now, a LOT of Lord & Taylor’s boots are marked down as well! Their sale only runs through tomorrow, so if you see anything that catches your eye, snap it up while you can!
Do you shop at Lord & Taylor?
I will admit, I haven’t done a lot of shopping at L&T in the past–for reasons I don’t know (!)–but that is definitely changing! I really love their namesake “Lord and Taylor” label–everything they make is so affordable but beautiful, classic, and stylish. They also carry a lot of my favorite brands, and they run so many amazing sales, you can always snag your favorite brands at a discount! Some other noteworthy L&T sale steals at 40% off: my plaid scarf ($38!), lot’s of adorable berets, and so many cute boots!
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday! ?
