Happy Thursday, friends!
Bit of a late start on today’s post (sorry!) I was up late until the wee hours last night doing wedding stuff so I slept in a little later than usual, and then had to spend the rest of the morning getting ready for the cleaning lady! (You know, cleaning for the cleaning lady. This is a concept I never understood until I had a house of my own, haha!)
In case you don’t follow along on Instagram, I thought it would be fun to do a little Instagram roundup of my “behind the scenes” snaps that you don’t usually see on the blog!
One of my new favorite lipsticks–it’s a vampy red and the coolest part is that it’s a liquid lipstick. I will admit, it does take some practice to get it perfect, but it has some insane staying power and is well-worth the extra practice in the beginning! I also like that it’s buildable, so the more you add, the darker it is. This color is “carnivorous.” I also live in this turtleneck tee in the winter–it’s only $19 right now with the J.Crew sale! It’s so soft and is the perfect under layer for any sweaters, too.
I recently wore this red dress to my friends’ Lisi & Jac’s wedding! I love the deep red color and the fact that it’s totally wearable year-round! The midi length also makes it a really versatile in-between for both black tie and cocktail weddings!
This strappy crop top/sports bra is enough motivation to get me out the door to yoga on time 😉 It’s SO cute–the back also has the same criss-cross pattern. I’ll be posting more photos of it soon!
A few weeks back I got some goodies from Bluemercury! Have you shopped there before? They have an amazing selection of products–I particularly love their M-61 line! I’m using the Hydroboost Eye Cream right now and I think it’s done a great job of brighting my under-eyes. All of their products get really great reviews and are reasonably priced!
Also, if you’ve never tried this Diamond Ice Lift mask, it’s kind of insane. (Both the price, and how well it lifts your entire face!) It’s a huge splurge, but I barely use any, and it will last forever. You can see my review on this Caudalie glycolic peel mask over here, and that little sample at the bottom is M-6’s Vitamin C serum, which is supposed to do wonders for evening out your skin tone and giving you a nice glow! I started using it a couple nights ago so stay tuned for results on that. (I’m also planning to buy this “fast blast” mask. You know I’m a sucker for reviews and the reviews on this say it’s magical!)
The best “wear this to anything” feminine dress. If you missed it, I just did an outfit post featuring this outfit right over here! I love the combination of the print, ruffles + bell sleeves!
Some of my go-to basics lately: High-waisted Levi’s, my Sam Edelman Petty Chelsea Booties, which also come in black leather, black suede, brown suede and tan suede! (why is that name SO long?) and a cozy grey sweater!
More new yoga wear! (I hadn’t shopped for new yoga clothes in years, so I was due for some upgrades!) These are both so, so soft. I love how the pullover is a crop, and the pants are thicker than usual, so you don’t have to worry about the awkward see-through factor when you’re in downward dog. Plus, how amazing is the forest green color?! It’s nice that they’re $54 too–I have the hardest time forking over hundreds of dollars for workout clothes!
