Hello from Portland! We hopped on a plane Wednesday morning and are here for a quick wedding planning trip! We’ve had a packed schedule over the next few days meeting with several vendors, seeing the venue one last time (or, in Neal’s case, the first time in person, haha!) and squeezing in time to see my parents. Oh, and also hopefully finding time to celebrate my birthday. (It sneaks up on me every year, I always forget my birthday–I’m definitely not a birthday person, haha!)
Anyway, here are some life updates you may have missed over the past couple of weeks!
Frosê with our BFK BFF’s!
If you didn’t know, Blair and I run a separate site called Blogging For Keeps where we share weekly blogging advice for current and aspiring bloggers! We created a Facebook group not too long ago called Blogging For Keeps BFF’s (BFK BFF’s for short!) and we hosted our first meet-up at Frontier last week!
It was such an amazing turnout–we had over 40 ladies attend and we were not shy in indulging in the frosé. If you haven’t been to Frontier yet, you NEED to put it on your list! 😉 P.S. You can snag my shoes right here.
The Littlest Loftus
As I’m sure you’re already aware if you follow me on Instagram stories–Neal’s parents got a new puppy! His name is Otto and he is an adorable baby Golden Retriever and we love him so much already! He came home last week started out very well behaved, however, he is getting naughtier as he gets older 😛 He is hilarious and lucky he’s so cute!
Beverly Shores Weekends
We’ve spent a lot of time lately in Beverly Shores, where Neal’s lake house is! If you’re looking for a place to get away from the city, we love this sleepy little Indiana beach town. I love this shot of the train station. I need to take one with my big camera and frame it! Wouldn’t it make the cutest wall art?
Summer Wardrobe Staples
I’ve been living in my linen button down and Levi’s jean shorts lately. I also just got a pair of Topshop “Mom” shorts that I really love. They’re high-waisted and a little distressed, but not TOO distressed. Sizing tip: They run very small, so go up a size–I wear a US size 4.
I’m so glad I finally pulled the trigger on my favorite tassel sandals! Right now they’re $158!! (Over 50% off!) Blair has them too and I’ve been admiring them for about 2 years now. Also, this gingham top is the cutest, and I styled it in this post. I linked a few other similar favorites above too!
I recently got this crop top and these pants from Outdoor Voices! Have you heard of them? They make the most amazing athletic wear that is both insanely comfortable and adorable at the same time. Everything is really well made!
Aladdin on Broadway!
I recently saw Aladdin on Broadway with my friend Kai! It was SO. SO. GOOD. I can’t even describe. You must go see it! Also, for those asking, I’ve linked my outfit details above! I’d also recommend grabbing a bite beforehand at Prime and Provisions!
