It’s our last day in Nantucket and we’re heading home this afternoon (I’ll be sharing a whole separate recap on that too!) But here’s what other things we’ve been up to over the past couple of weeks!
Being Cool Kids:

Neal, Maura, and Maura’s roomie Chelsea went to Apogee (the Dana Hotel Rooftop bar) last week–we were there for a party with Netflix to promote their new movie “Set It Up.” Neal and I felt REAL old (I think everyone else there was a minimum of 5 years younger) but our 23 year old selves would’ve been proud. ? If you haven’t been to Apogee, it’s REALLY pretty and a great spot for cocktails in River North.
I met Lenny!
Our friends Leigh and Danny just got a brand new Bernedoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog + Poodle) He is SO CUTE I can’t stand it. I got to go over and meet him last week. PRECIOUS.
Walks with Zain:
I met Shaheen and Zain in the park the other day to hang out the playground for a little bit. I’m going to miss them so much. I can’t believe we say goodbye next week ? Side note, my sister in law also started babysitting Zain, Emma and Owen ? because she’s the best babysitter on earth–if you live in Chicago and need one, holler!
Reformation at Nordstrom!
I was sooo excited to hear that Reformation launched at Nordstrom! (Have you heard of them? They make the cutest dresses of all time!) I stopped by downtown to try on a few things and fell in love with this yellow dress. I actually can’t find it online anymore but they have so many others to choose from if you’re in the market for a versatile summer frock–check ’em out!
Accidental white Canadian Tuxedo:
One day last week I was in a rush to get ready and somehow accidentally wound up wearing a head to toe white Canadian tuxedo–which looked especially extreme with my white bike and my white bike helmet ? How things like this happen to me–I don’t know. But on another note–I’m obsessed with my new bike helmet because it’s actually cute and not I don’t feel ashamed to wear it!
Celebrating Henry and Emily:
Last weekend we got to celebrate our friends Emily and Henry tie the knot! They had a beautiful wedding at the Chicago Cultural Center and it was a fun reunion with a lot of Neal’s college friends.
Crashing Boys Night Karaoke:
I somehow ended up crashing boys night last week after Henry and Emily’s rehearsal dinner. I tried to leave like 5 times and they were all like NO KEYS!! YOU’RE NOT LEAVING!! We ended up at a Karaoke club in Chinatown called Sakura and it was actually hysterical. It was pretty dead, so I’m sure there are cooler bars in Chinatown to frequent, but still a great idea if you’re looking for something new and fun.
What a great week! I love it when friends get new pets,?ts so fun to get to play with them! xAllie
