Coming at you from a San Francisco coffee shop–I’m sipping an ice coffee, the windows are open and the breeze is rolling through, and to top it off, a French Bulldog named Pimp just jumped in my lap!? He’s literally laying across my arm as I’m typing this ? It’s officially the best day ever!
So, speaking of this beautiful weather, can you believe it’s Mothers Day already!?
I’m always surprised when it rolls around because it means Spring is FINALLY here (after sooo much waiting!) I’m really excited this year because I will actually be with my own mother for Mothers Day for the first time in…TWELVE years!? OMG. I can’t believe it’s been that long–but yes, since I went to college! She’s flying in this upcoming Saturday and she’ll be here to celebrate both Mothers Day and her birthday. Neal’s dad and brother will be out of town, so it will just be the girls all celebrating together (with Neal ?). We’re planning to meet up with my mother in law (Juj! ❤) in the city for either brunch or dinner.
Anyyywayyy, how are you celebrating Mothers Day?
If you’re still looking for a gift, I’ve rounded up my favorites today that are suitable for any budget, and any kind of mama!
16 Amazing Mothers Day Gifts for Any Budget
I think a lightweight pashmina like this is the most foolproof gift–it’s a high quality wool and cashmere blend, it’s lightweight, which means she’ll wear it all seasons (it’s ideal for frequent travelers because it comes in really handy on the plane and also stashes easily in your bag!) It comes in tons of colors, and the price can’t be beat!
My sister works for this company, Nashelle, who makes the prettiest dainty jewelry! This necklace would be so special to get a new mom with her new baby’s initials, or her own!
“I have enough luxurious, soft, comfy, chic pajamas” said no woman ever. I adore these from J.Crew and like how they aren’t insanely baggy like a lot of other long pajamas are!
Have you ever had this tea? It’s seriously the most amazing thing you’ve ever tasted. For the mom who loves her tea, or just could use a comforting, calming pick-me-up during the day (or at night)–this is an amazing gift. Comes in both loose leaf and teabags. Wouldn’t it be cute paired with a cute coffee mug?
My mom is a shower cap fanatic–if yours is too, upgrade her shower cap for her by buying her one of these adorable “Shhhower caps!” It completely seals your hair in (so no steam or water gets through!) and doesn’t make that horrific loud sound when the water hits it! Plus, it’s actually adorable and you won’t feel like you’re in a 1950’s sitcom wearing it.
For the mom who is ALWAYS cold, even in the summer, she’ll love Madewell’s updated “summer” version of their Ryder cardigan. It’s a lightweight blend that she’ll want to take everywhere with her. (She may need one for home and one for her office chair!)
How sweet is this ring that says “mama?” It also comes in silver! The price is so great, it’s hard to pass up!
I’ve heard AMAZING things about Everlane’s totes (just like everything else they make!) Madewell also makes a very similar one that is my personal go-to! (The biggest difference is that Everlane’s appears to be more structured and less deep!) They both come in a variety of colors!
I know, I know, I’ve made you wait a REALLY long time for my big “best white t-shirt” comparison post, but here’s a little hint at who won the contest: I think Everlane’s tees are pretty hard to beat. If your mom is as picky as my mom, she wants a super soft tee that is polished, isn’t too short, and in NO way see through–well, here it is!
For the tech-obsessed mom who always seems to be running out of battery–this is the best solution I’ve ever seen! ? You can monogram it, too!
This adorable bandana actually says “Best Mom Ever” in the middle (so cute!) which you can’t notice when you tie it around you neck, but it’s the cutest little hidden message that will remind Mom of how much you love her!
For the yogi mom (or the mom who doesn’t actually do yoga but loves her cute and comfy activewear)–this funnel neck sweatshirt comes in a bunch of colors and is polished enough to wear around town!
If your mom is looking for a good pair of sneakers, she’ll LOVE Allbirds. They have a good amount of support without looking frumpy. They’re especially great if she’s got a trip coming up where she’ll be doing a fair amount of walking! She wont complain about her feet hurting (or overheating, either, because wool is naturally moisture-wicking and cooling, too!) Basically, she’ll run out of things to complain about with these, which, as you know–is hard to find ? Oh, and they come in lot’s of colors, too! Regardless of if she’s an avid wearer of all-black, or she’s looking for some pink sneakers to add to her collection, she’ll find a pair for her!
Yes, this is technically a travel set, but these bags honestly look just as pretty sitting on the bathroom counter as they do in a suitcase! If she’s been hauling around that some old gift with purchase ratty makeup bag since you were a child, it’s time to give her a nice upgrade. The monogram with gold foil is really the cherry on top!
This is a slightly different version of the trench coat I got a couple years back (but it’s on sale!!) Both are amazing coats made by London Fog, which is a brand I am now IN LOVE with. It’s the most versatile coat in my closet–has a removable liner and hood. It would make the best gift for everyone, but especially a mom with really classic style!
A great gift for the mom (or anyone!) who loves beauty products. Beautycounter is one of my favorite brands and this is the brand of shampoo, conditioner and bodywash I’ve been using for over a year–it’s sulfate free, with no toxins of any kind!
