Can you believe how fast this month is flying? April has been one of the busiest months of the year so far–so many great things going on, and it’s not even over yet!
One of those things being, it was FINALLY nice enough weather to ride my bike! Neal got me an adorable red beach cruiser for Christmas, and she’s been cooped up in our apartment just waiting for nice weather! Seeing as it was more than SEVENTY degrees on Monday, I finally took her out for a spin and rode to Bucktown and worked at a coffee shop all day. (Outside–on the patio. It was unreal. I forgot what summer felt like.)
Second (as you snapchat–@jesskeys11) was celebrating my best friend Courtney’s bachelorette in Austin last weekend. It was a quick trip, but SO fun! My favorite part was renting a boat on Lake Austin during the day on Saturday. So if you’re heading there anytime soon (especially for a bachelorette party) I can’t recommend that enough!
Third, I attended the new Vera Bradley store opening in Woodfield Mall a couple weeks ago and it was so cool to get to be part of the experience. I had never been behind the scenes of a grand opening before, and it was something I’ll never forget!
I got to meet the team from Vera Bradley corporate, hold the big “ribbon cutting” scissors, and be there for all of the excitement! The new store is absolutely gorgeous–it’s the first of it’s kind, as Vera Bradley has recently gone through a re-brand (notice the new logo below!?) and they’re re-designing all of their stores!
Honestly, as you know, I partner with a lot of brands, but the Vera team is by far the most enthusiastic and passionate team I’ve ever worked with. It’s so infectious, and so cool to get to get to work with people who really love their company and believe in their brand! Working on projects like this is one of my favorite parts of being a blogger.
The new store concept has gorgeous gold geometric chandeliers, an eclectic mix of mid-century modern pieces, the layout is super clean–it feels more like a showroom than a store. (At the opening party they even had customized Garret’s Popcorn tins–yum!) It’s beautiful! They even have a gorgeous custom-made tile floor at the entrance. (Swoon!)
I was also surprised to see so much more than just handbags–they’ve got a huge selection of beach accessories, like adorable brightly colored tassel beach towels, roomy beach totes, and more! Some of my favorite Vera bags are from their leather collection–I’ve been wearing this envelope “Harper” bag on repeat! The color goes with everything (like this new top–one of my favorites, and is such a steal!) and it’s super roomy, so you can still fit all of your essentials in it!
So, if you’re in the Chicago area, I’d highly recommend popping into the store at Woodfield Mall to see it for yourself!
Hope you have an amazing weekend!
Big thanks to Vera Bradley for sponsoring this post, and for your continued partnership!
