Nordstrom Swimsuit + Cover-Up Try On!

Nordstrom Swimsuit

HII from sunny Arizona!

(Yes, I’m back here again for another conference–yes, I was just here, you aren’t crazy! ?) This time it’s MUCH warmer, so I’m very excited for some pool weather! Making it the perfect timing for a swimsuit try on post!

Nordstrom reached out to me a few weeks back and asked if I’d like to partner together to test drive a few new suits and cover ups from their swim section (which is quite extensive, by the way)–obviously, being one of my favorite places to shop, I said, “duh.” ?

I ordered a BUNCH of options, and these are the ones that topped my list. One of the best parts about shopping for swimwear at Nordstrom–their return policy cannot be beat! Finding the right size is so tricky that you can order multiple sizes and not have to worry about missing a 2 week return window. (Which happens to me EVERY. TIME. I order from somewhere else. ?) I also love that they have something to suit everyone’s swimsuit preferences (because as we know, swimsuits are a VERY personal thing!)

I know quite a few of you are gearing up for spring vacations, and, some of you–in places that are not the Midwest, are even pulling out the suits and sun dresses at home–so I think you’ll love so many of these pieces. I tried to hit a little something for everyone from sizing to styles to price points.

Let’s go!

Becca Show + Tell One Piece: (pictured above and below)

Becca Show + Tell One Piece

I WISH I’d had this for my bachelorette party and my honeymoon! But that doesn’t mean it’s not perfect for everyday too! This is probably my favorite of the bunch and I absolutely LOVE the brand who makes it– Becca! I have owned several Becca swimsuits over the years (dating back since I think like, high school?) and they are really great suits. They also have a plus line called Becca ETC which is adorable! A lot of times lace suits to me are very scratchy, but this one is very comfortable! I often find that one pieces can run short on me, but that’s not the case with this one! The straps are also adjustable, which is key!

Topshop Crinkle Bikini

Topshop Crinkle Bikini:

The top ($38) and bottom ($36) are sold separately which is nice because as we all know, sizing between tops and bottoms can be tricky! I ordered a size 6 in this because Topshop runs very small–I would typically wear a size S in bathing suits, FYI–often times medium on bottoms. (Swim sizing can be really tricky for me.) I’m glad I went with the 6! It’s SUCH a fun little suit–the crinkle material is really soft too, so it’s not scratchy! If you like two pieces but need more coverage on top than a normal bikini, I think you’ll love this. One note–this is not lined, but you can totally pop cups into it for extra coverage in that area. (I just whip the cups out of another suit and stick ’em in there).

Chelsea 28 Scalloped Bikini

Chelsea 28 Scalloped Bikini:

(Also a separate top and bottom.) OKAY I LOVE this suit–but it was so big on me that I literally could not take a photo in it ?I didn’t want to not include it because it’s SO CUTE.

However, I will be exchanging it for an XS. I ordered a medium because the past few suits I’ve ordered recently run so small on me, I decided to size up (I usually for for a size small)–I would definitely recommend sizing DOWN a size, not up! It’s the same look as the designer version, but so budget-friendly! The bottoms are also cut a bit higher (not so low) which I also liked! I also love that the top has removable cups/lining!

Tavik Cover Up Shorts

Tavik Cover Up Shorts:

Also come in black! PSA: EVERYONE needs to buy these shorts!

They aren’t just good for cover-up purposes, I wish I’d had these in Italy! They’re perfect to wear with a tank as well–even with sneakers to keep you cool when traveling in hot temps. I love love these–they’re so comfortable and stylish! The best part: they aren’t too short! ??

(P.S. My hair looks great here, I know. Not sure what was going on. No, I haven’t brushed it since Montana ?)

Red Carter Mika Maxi

Red Carter Mika Maxi:

UGH I am so sad this one almost sold out in between when I ordered it and now. It’s still available in a size large though! I think it runs true to size–I ordered a small (I’m usually an XS) but I wanted it to be a little extra roomy and breezy and it fit me very accurately. I also LOVE the brand Red Carter–they have so many cute breezy dresses, cover ups, and swimsuits!

Elan V Cover Up Maxi

Elan V Cover Up Maxi:

I love love this brand Elan V for cover ups–(they come in plus too!) I hadn’t heard of the brand before (Thanks Nordstrom once again for introducing me to a new brand to obsess over!)

I think this maxi is the ultimate warm weather vacation staple! It’s only $58 and is SO ROOMY and breezy, but the low v in the front and back make it super chic. It’s perfect to throw on to go to the pool but you can easily dress it up for dinner with a pair of earrings and great flats or heels. It’s the ideal “I drank too many margs and ate nachos by the pool so I want something very large but very chic to wear to dinner” outfit. ?And IT HAS POCKETTSSS.

Sizing: Runs TTS if not slightly big. I went with XS. (But like, it’s supposed to fit like this, ya know?)

Which is your favorite?! I hope this helps those of you who are packing for upcoming Spring Break trips!

Big thanks to one of my very favorite retailers, Nordstrom, and ShopStyle for partnering with me on this post! All opinions are 110% my own, as always!

Love this! How do you keep the cups in swimsuits from not getting all wonky (e.g. indentations, weird dents, etc.)?
