Earlier this week, Neal and I headed to Logan Square for a date night at Parson’s Chicken and Fish! Logan Square is one of the coolest up and coming neighborhoods in the city, but I had only been there twice in my whole life! I truly had no idea that this part of the city ever existed (how silly of me?)
That being said–it did not disappoint! Parson’s has been a Chicago staple for awhile now, they have a big outdoor space, too–so I can’t wait to return when the weather is a little warmer! I would highly recommend the hot chicken and hush puppies! Their hot sauces are also amazing, next time I go, I’m going to stock up for the fridge!
Pretty much everything I’m wearing in this photo is a staple I’ve been wearing non-stop, so clearly it was the perfect outfit for a casual date night.
From this insanely budget-friendly chambray ruffle shirt to my new monogrammed Keds! I’m obsessed with them, I even picked out gold rivets in lieu of the traditional white ones. They’re very subtle, but make the cutest statement and add something a little extra special to your outfit.
I also recently cleaned out my closet from top to bottom, and found my old Louis Vuitton bag that I had purchased on eBay in college. It was the first big purchase I ever made for myself–I remember how proud I was pulling it out of the box! It’s a little beaten up, but I still love it and I’m so glad I found it–it’s gotten so much use recently after a very long hiatus!
The weekend over here is going to be busy! Friday I’m meeting up with my college girlfriends to celebrate my friend Maggie’s birthday, and Saturday I’ve got some errands to run for a partnership I have in the works in the suburbs. Then we’re meeting our friends, Stacy and Mark, who live nearby for lunch! So excited, it’s been years since we’ve seen them. After that, we have to zip back to the city to do some filming for yet another blog project that afternoon.
CRAZY TOWN! Hopefully we’ll have Sunday all to ourselves though to do something fun.
What are you up to this weekend?
