Let’s jump into our favorite highlights to check out this week!
On a High Note Vol 33

“I stumbled upon this recipe last week and got incredibly excited about the idea of making something so delicious in a microwave 🤣Most of my meals are cold by the time I get to them these days and cooking takes much longer with baby breaks so I’m looking forward to trying these 5-minute mug cakes this week!” — Kendall
Old Navy Tie Dye Sweatsuit!
“If you’ve been sleeping on Old Navy lately, let this be your cue to take a look at their offerings again–they have so much cute HAPPY stuff right now! I ordered this fun matching sweatshirt and sweatpants set over the weekend and it already arrived! (Runs TTS!) I love the colorful (but muted) tie-dye that isn’t TOO loud! I need all the happy (and comfy, always comfy) clothes to get me through the winter right now, and at $32 each, they are easy on the wallet, too!” –– Jess
Add a Eucalyptus Bouquet to Your Shower

“Still very much on a “make your home an oasis” kick, I love the idea of hanging fresh eucalyptus branches from my shower head. When mixed with shower steam, the eucalyptus creates relaxing aromatherapy and diffuses essential oils. Plus it boasts other benefits like fighting nasal congestion and sinus infections, relieving stress and pain, and boosting alertness. All it requires is a bundle of fresh eucalyptus from your local flower mart or grocery store (Trader Joe’s sells them for $3!) and using some twine of a rubber band to hang them upside down in your shower (not directly under the water but close enough that the steam will activate the leaves). Apparently, it can last up to 3 weeks, too!” — Kendall
“What is more soothing than watching a Nancy Meyers’ movie? Dreaming about those famous Nancy Meyers’ kitchens? If you’re a Nancy Meyers fan, let me introduce you to the Nancy Meyers’ Kitchen playlist. Okay, this isn’t actually NEW, but I just re-discoverd how much I loved it, and I thought it deserved a spot here! It has over 300+ songs– a lot of my go-to classic favorites, mixed in with some new-to-me artists and songs I hadn’t heard before–but all perfectly suitable (and exactly what you’d imagine) playing while making a leisurely dinner in a beautiful Nancy Meyers kitchen!” –– Jess
“I know we’ve all fantasized about a post-COVID world — the people we want to see, the places we want to go, and the things we want to do. Turns out, it’s good for us! Imagining a better future helps humans cope with difficult times. I enjoyed reading this New York Times article and learning what people are most looking forward to. I actually started a running bucket list of to-dos and plan to keep it to always remember how fortunate I am to do the things we sometimes take for granted (i.e. hugs).” — Kendall
Buy a pizza for the National Guard Troops at the Capitol!
“We the Pizza is teaming up with local DC restaurants to deliver much deserved delicious pizzas to the troops at the capitol! You can contribute to their fund right here! Donations are being spread around to restaurants that have been hit hard from the pandemic and due to the domestic attack two weeks ago. So amazing! Thanks to my friend Natalie for sharing this with me!” ––Jess
