A 350 Square Foot Houseboat Home Tour!
“I am such a huge fan of apartment therapy and this cozy little houseboat home tour might be one of my favorite home tours of all time. I cannot get over the level of detail–the bold design choices, the cozy charm. Interior designer and DC native Jamila Scarlett lives here with her 13-year-old twins. (Can you imagine? How fun, growing up on a boat!) I hope you find it as delightful as I did!”–Jess

Have You Ever Had a Friendship Breakup?
Image via A Cup of Jo
“I just read this piece in A Cup of Jo about friendship breakups that really stuck with me — and it’s probably something you can relate to as well. Most (all of us?) have experienced a friendship breakup at some point in our lives — some of us have might have experienced one in the last year — and it can be a painful relationship to mourn especially because we don’t tend to talk about them.
As the author says, “friend loss is particularly wrenching, I feel, because it lacks the ritual of romantic breakups… A romantic breakup feels like grabbing a scalding pan from the stove with your bare hand — a searing pain that eventually heals and subsides. A friendship break is more of that creeping dull ache in your side that, although mostly ignorable, never fully goes away.” — Kendall

Subscribe to Antiracism Daily’s 28 Days of Black History
Have you heard of Nicole Cardoza’s Antiracism Daily newsletter? I highly recommend subscribing if you haven’t yet–each newsletter focuses on one daily action to take to help dismantle white supremacy. This month, the team behind Antiracism Daily is running a separate educational series of 28 works that celebrate Black legacy in the US. Each newsletter focuses on a different facet of Black history (likely something you never learned about in school) and includes discussion questions and action items. Please subscribe and share with all of your friends! (Don’t worry, you’ll also get access to archives of previous days that you missed!) If you’re able, also consider donating to help continue funding the important work they’re doing!”–Jess

Ray-Ban Hexagon Sunglasses- on sale!
“My favorite sunglasses ever are 40% off right now- the Ray-Ban hexagonal lens! I’ve had them for years and still reach for them all the time. They are a fun twist on the classic aviator and I love that they can be dressed up or down — I wear them running, hiking, and for everyday. Check out Jess’ review of them in this post.” — Kendall

U.S. Hits Pandemic Milestone With More Vaccinated Than Cases (Bloomberg)
“I don’t know about you, but I have hit a wall in this pandemic and therefore, need some light at the end of the tunnel. This article in Bloomberg provided that to me, sharing that the US hit a milestone of more vaccinated Americans than confirmed cases. Granted, this by no means lets anyone off the hook for continuing to social distance, wearing masks (double, if possible), and continuing to be safe, but it did give me so much hope that better days are just around the corner!” –Jess
