There are a few classic staples I’ve come to really lean on in my wardrobe: the silk scarf, the little black dress, the perfect loafers. The jewelry equivalent of this would certainly be pearl earrings.
Some people think pearl earrings are only for prepsters and well-dressed moms. I have a lot of friends who write them off as “too preppy for me” or “they make me look like my mother!”
But in reality, pearl earrings add a classic, feminine touch to anything you wear with them! Ever since I got this pair from Laguna Pearl, I’ve barely taken them off. I chalked it up to Kelly rubbing off on me, but really, they truly do go with everything! I love the classic touch they bring to every outfit.
The best part about these in particular? They don’t hurt my ears! With such sensitive skin, 99% of earrings irritate my ears. I usually can’t wear earrings for more than a couple hours without having to take them out. But with these, I can sleep in them and leave them in for days, and they’re totally fine! I can’t speak highly enough of this little pair of earrings.
So to pull off pearls, you don’t have to pull out your gingham button down, pop your collar, and curl your hair. Make them work however you want them to!
Here I met the girls for brunch for Kit’s birthday at Rural Society (which was soo good!) It was the perfect fall day, which called for one of my go-to weekend outfit combos: a striped dress, camo jacket, and white Keds. The pearl earrings combined with the girly dress gave this outfit the perfect balance of feminine-tomboy. (So then I wore it again the following Monday. Shhhh..)
Do you have a pair of pearl earrings? If not, what are you waiting for? Go get yourself a pair!
What’s your favorite way to wear pearl earrings?
