Can I just go off on a quick little praising tangent for a second?
ANN TAYLOR–look at you and your summer game. Whaaattt? Have you seen their stuff lately? It’s so cute, I don’t know if I need to shop anywhere else this summer. I don’t know what’s in the water over there, but they have been KILLING. IT. (They’re also having a major 50% off sale right now, including these shorts, so definitely peruse that at work I mean on your LUNCH BREAK today.)
I’ve been living in these shorts in particular lately. I’m seriously in love–they are so so comfortable, and they are easy to wear with flats to a street fair, or pair with heels for a dressy date night. (Sizing tip: I’m wearing a 2, and typically AT and LOFT run a little big on me, but these are very true to size. Plus, they’re supposed to be a bit looser anyway.)
I’m obsessed. I also just got this shirt and this dress–which have been on constant repeat. (You know how I am, I get something new that I love and I wear it three days a week.)
Also, can we talk about how this was the first outfit shoot I’ve done as an engaged woman!? I was totally cheesing even more than usual.
This past weekend I celebrated my friend Kristine’s bachelorette party with all my college best friends. There are quite a few of us, and I’m one of the final girls to get engaged/married. I don’t know that I’d call this a “tradition” but whenever we get together, we end up passing around each other’s rings and trying them all on. (Kind of like dress up?) It’s never really a planned thing, but it always starts with one of us being like “GIMME YOUR RING!” And then everyone else joins in.
Of course, I always participated, but never had a ring to contribute! It was so funny hearing, “KEYS. GIMME THAT RING!” this weekend. My friend Coley wore mine around the apartment for like 45 minutes, haha! It was so surreal. Life has been moving so fast for all of us, and even though most of us live in Chicago, it’s hard to actually find time to see each other! It was so fun and special to all be together for the whole weekend and celebrate the sweetest bride to be. (She’s getting married at Nellcote, how amazing is that!?)
Hope you have a spectacular Monday 😉
