Hi, my name is Jess, the slaphappy walking zombie who does not know what time zone she’s in or what day it is.
In case you missed it, I took a casual last minute two night trip to Iceland earlier this week along with IcelandAir, and just got back last night.
The trip was the COOLEST thing ever. I honestly hadn’t really thrown Iceland into the rotation of my top travel bucket list destinations before this trip, but after experiencing it, all I can say was that it was absolutely mind blowingly beautiful, and I have no idea why I hadn’t put it at the top of my list earlier.
I had planned on popping in each day and sharing a few photos and tidbits of the day, but honestly, our schedule was so jam packed, I just never got the chance! (And also, technology hates me, so the wifi was not on my side.)
But we’ll get into that later–for now, let’s focus on today’s outfit post, which I shot last week with Blair a couple days before we left for Iceland! Since we’re in the peak of whacko transitional weather at the moment, this outfit has become a favorite go-to of mine.
I just picked up this button down at Banana Republic (which they also have in red!) and it’s super soft–I love the casual boyfriend fit, which I either tie at the bottom or do a little side/half-tuck action depending on how crazy I’m feeling that day. (I know, I’m so wild.)
The real star of the show though, is obviously these shoes! (THE SHOOOOESSSS.) I’ve been eyeing lot’s of fringe heels lately and I finally took the plunge on this pair–I picked them up along with the shirt at a recent Banana Republic sale and felt like I hit the jackpot. They’re really not bad comfort wise as far as heels go–I’ve worn them for hours at a time and haven’t had problems with my feet! Sizing runs true to size, and another thing to note–the fringe does fluff up a bit over time.
Okay I would write more but let’s be honest my brain stopped working 5 paragraphs ago, so I’m going to leave you with this parting message–I’m hosting a fun shopping event at Macy’s State Street tomorrow–part of the Macy’s Flower Show! I’ll be there along with Shai from Drunk on Shoes and Farheen of FarhFromOrdinary.com!
We’ll be there giving personal style advice on the latest spring trends–there will also be a live DJ, you can get your own fashion illustration, makeup touchups by Benefit Cosmetics, and create your own floral iPhone case! You can get all the details about the event right here. I hope to see you!
