Cashmere neck scarf: White + Warren c/o Shopbop–how cute is this!? I’m pretty sure the cashmere neck scarf was MADE for me. It keeps you so warm and it’s not bulky like other scarves, and, you know, it looks like a neck scarf! It’s perfect for any francophile ? (Comes in black, too!) Boots: Steve Madden Gabbie OTK Boots (They’re only $68!! Also come in black! My best friend Kate also just recommended these Dolce Vita OTK boots as well, and says they’re super snug through the calf/thigh for a Stuart Weitzman-esque look!) Sweater: old, but similar here and here! (Linking more below, too!) Black tee: Halogen (it’s reversible and my FAVORITE long-sleeved tee EVER! I also have the striped version! If you want a short-sleeve tee, I also love J.Crew’s “perfect tee” crewnecks as well as their v-necks!) Jeans: Abercrombie (my other similar favorites are the J.Brand Maria jeans!) Bag: Obviously borrowed from Kelly ? it’s not often I get the opportunity to borrow Chanel ?
HAPPY FRIDAY!
Sorry for the lack of post yesterday–I got behind with deadlines and just literally ran out of time. Hopefully Wednesdays post with a bajillion podcasts was thorough enough that it took you two days to get through. ?
This weekend it’s a girls weekend–Neal is in Austin celebrating his best friend Steve’s 30th birthday (Happy Birthday Steve!!) so I’ve got lot’s of fun plans to catch up with all my girlfriends! I’m really looking forward to it! Tonight I’m seeing The Post with my friend Liz, and tomorrow I’m going to brunch with my old roomies to celebrate my friend Kai’s engagement! I’m also going to be working a fair amount to get ahead on posts because I’m going to visit my best and longest friend/ MOH/ sister in Cincinnati because she just had her second baby! I cannot wait to meet baby Jax! Neal needed to take a work trip there and timing could not have been better, so I’m tagging along!
Anyway–this past Wednesday, Kelly and I took off work early and headed to a late lunch at RL (Ralph Lauren’s restaurant!) We had both never been, but were dying to go–so drank the rosé, we ate the fries (and I ordered the club sandwich, Kelly the burger–both would highly recommend!)–it was so fun! We obviously ended our date by walking to Nordstrom down the street, because where else would we be?
Blogging is really funny in that it’s a job that can be very social, but also very isolating. Especially in the winter, it’s really easy to just hole up alone in your house and never leave–but it was so nice to actually get out of the house, have a fun lunch, and just walk around downtown!
If you haven’t been to Ralph Lauren yet, you MUST go! It’s such an experience! The decor is so beautiful and just as you’d imagine. I want to move in immediately. (Actually, it reminded me a lot of Neal’s office ? but obviously way cooler).
Also an important part of the story–I recently got this really cool thing called a DJI Osmo Mobile. It’s essentially a stabilizer for the iPhone that allows you to make really fun videos on the go and get really cool, smooth, panning shots!
Kelly for the life of her cannot remember what it’s actually called, so she keeps calling it “your robot” and “Weebo”–the latter which has now stuck, and resulted in all of our text conversations being full of robot memes.
Obviously I took the opportunity to test it out at lunch and play around–our waiter was very intrigued and proceeded to tell me that his wife wanted a robot dog, so there’s that.
The First “Weebo” Video:
I debated on publishing this because there’s a whole lot of nothing going on in this video and it was really just an excuse to play around with the “weebo”–(also don’t mind that the video has literally no ending ?) but I figured it would give you a fun little glimpse of RL if nothing else ? (Warning: this video will cause extreme french fry cravings.)

Finally, I can’t let you leave for the weekend until we talk about a few key pieces of this outfit that have quickly become some of my favorite wardrobe staples since purchasing them!
White + Warren Cashmere Neck Scarf:
I mean, was this MADE for me or was it made for me!?
You know my thin with neck scarves. Actually, I just realized that my last like four outfit posts have consisted of me wearing neck scarves. I should probably stop. Sorry. ? Anyway, I absolutely adore this scarf and I know it’s one I will have for a long time. I thought it wouldn’t be as warm as a normal scarf, but because it’s so much more snug up around your neck, it’s actually warmer! It’s perfect for winter (and, you know. Spring. Ah, Chicago.)
Steve Madden Gabbie Boots:
I have been dying for the Stuart Weitzman Lowlands in brown (specifically the Chestnut color that is sooo beautiful!) but I wanted to challenge myself to find an affordable alternative first–I finally did! Luckily I was watching Jessi’s instagram stories and she posted about these Steve Madden Gabbie Boots, so I snapped them up because they’re only $68! They also come in black!
I have a REALLY hard time finding boots that are snug enough around my calves and thighs, and these come pretty darn close to being perfect! (They’re still a little big in the back up around my thigh, but they still stayed up really well! I just have child sized lower legs, so they will definitely fit normal humans well! ?) I also really love the heel–which is there but not TOO tall–and the toes, which are really pretty and slightly pointed–a perfect almond toe! They’re also so comfy–I walked all around the city in them yesterday! They run TTS.
The Reversible [CRAZY soft] Black Tee:
I can’t say enough great things about these tees! I got one in black and one in stripes. They are the tees I reach for every time now. I also wore this black tee out to dinner on Saturday night (with the v-neck in the front! Perfect for date night tucked into skinny jeans and paired with heels!) Sizing tip: Go down a size! I’m wearing an XS (my normal size) but it’s still still a little big!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I love this! The video looks great and I’m so curious about your Weebo!! Would love to see more and maybe a comparison of video with/without the stabilizer?
