Yesterday was so fun. (AKA when this photoshoot took place.)
Kelly got a new camera, (a Canon 5D Mark iii, for those of you camera buffs) and I can’t even tell you how much it’s going to change our lives. (I am SO LUCKY to have a talented BFF to take so many of my photos–thank you Kelly!!) We had so much fun playing around with it (and the shots we got of Noodle–I die. I can’t wait until you see them.)
These jumping photos, for example–I wish I could post the 25 outtakes that exist but my romper kept flying up so high it exposed my underwear, and that is not something I’d like flying around on the internet, no sir. The random bystanders walking through the neighborhood certainly enjoyed watching our failing attempts at capturing jumping shots.
Anywho, on to this outfit!
Seeing as, despite popular messages in the media–it is STILL SUMMER. It’s not cold yet (Recent update: I’ve realized it’s cold outside today. Fine. But it’s supposed to get back up to 80 this week, so I rest my case) and I’m not willing to let go of my summer wardrobe. One of the stars, in which, is this adorable hot pink romper with pom poms. (Pom pons? That might be the correct word but I like pom poms much better.)
There are plenty of festivals still on the docket in Chicago–Fashion Fest this weekend, and don’t forget North Coast! This would make the perfect festival ensemble. It’s also as soft as pajamas, so you could really wear it to anything. I prefer wearing it to brunch, as my version of Joey’s “Thanksgiving Pants” because it leaves plenty of room for an entire plate of chilaquiles if you know what I mean.
And this lemon purse! (It also comes in lime flavor.) It totally reminds me of Kate Spade, but it’s on sale for $24 (whaaaatttt?!) and you can snag it here. But I’m guessing it will be gone soon, so you should probably hurry and snatch it up before they’re sold out!
I know there are way more photos in this post than normal, but they were all so fun and Kelly’s camera is just so magical, I figured–what the heck? Throw ’em all in there!
Now, I’m off to finish all my work slash go shopping because I leave for Vegas at 5am on Friday morning for my friend Coley’s bachelorette party and I got some MAJOR preparation ta do!
