This message brought to you from a French restaurant where the live piano karaoke is currently catering to a certain circle my Grandma Marilyn might run with. I planned for an after work glass of wine and an hour or two of work, but instead ran into this group of vocally talented seniors. I’m not complaining, it’s actually the best surprise of my day, I’m just asking you to forgive any typos in the event that a grammatical error slips by due to the wine and Betty White double belting Billie Holiday 10 feet away from my table. I think it’s safe to say I’m not the only Golden Girl in the vicinity.
Now that I’ve given you all the details, we should probably talk about this amazing skirt from Georgie + Elaine (c/o). There’s nothing I love more than a good combo of patterns and textures, and this skirt made it all too easy. Being my favorite color, a flattering mini cut, complete with plenty of sophisticated textural details — it was basically my dream come true. This type of combination is always an easy go-to. It doesn’t take a ton to create some interest, which makes it a winner in my (lazy) book. It’s quickly become one of my favorite versatile spring pieces — you could say I love it more than Granny’s rendition of My Funny Valentine (and that’s a lot.)
Happy almost Friday!
