Dress: ASTR–available at Nordstrom and Revolve (which has free 2-day shipping!) I really love this brand, they have the cutest dresses at the best price points! I also love this similar mini with the same drapey shoulders, this ethereal lavender maxi, this floral print midi and this off the shoulder dress with such a fun pattern! // Shoes: Steve Madden “Carrson” (come in SO many colors and are actually not uncomfortable for being such high heels!) If you’re looking for a lower heel, I also have the “Irenee” version in blush that I also love and comes in tons of colors too! // Purse: B.P. from Nordstrom (also seen in this outfit post!) But J.Crew just came out with this similar blush cross-body for just $98 and I’m IN LOVE! That buckle! It also comes in tan and green! //
Wanna know something weird?
As I’m writing this post, Adelle’s “Cold Shoulder” just came on Spotify.
COINCIDENCE or FATE!?
Because I’m in loveee with this cold/cut-out shoulder dress! I was so weirded out by this trend for a long time, and honestly, I’m still not a huge fan of it–except when the shoulders are super drapey and feminine like on this dress! (I love it so much I reallyyy wish it came in white because this is exactly what I’d love to wear for our rehearsal dinner!) Speaking of, did you catch Tuesday’s roundup of Little White Dresses?
I love the blue on blue happening with the dress and the shoes. If you’re looking for a versatile pair of summer heels, I can’t recommend these enough! They’re high so they make your legs look super long, but the chunky heel makes them actually comfortable! Plus they come in just about any color you could ever want. And they’re $89. Sooo kind of a win-win situation all around? Also, if you aren’t into the super high heels, definitely look into this similar pair, which I have in blush! They’re so cute and really great for transitioning from day to night!
Anyway, this week has flown by! Do you agree? Some highlights so far:
- We babysat Emma on Monday night! We hadn’t really given it much thought because we’re with her all the time, but we were the first non parents to babysit her! We felt so honored! She’s seriously the most perfect baby and we had so much fun playing with her! We watched a LOT of Sesame Street (they’ve REALLY stepped up their game since we were little). When we put her in her crib to go to sleep though she started wailing and it about broke our hearts into a million pieces so we abandoned that idea and watched Sesame Street for another half-hour and then tried again the second time. (Success.) I can’t stand to see her cry, it just kills me!! Kelly and Mitch thought this story was hilarious.
- I had a productive day on Tuesday working with Blair on our Blogging For Keeps Photography workshop that’s happening this weekend! We are SO EXCITED! If you’d be interested in joining a future workshop, make sure to pop on our email list!
- I GOT NEW SLIPPERS! I’m obsessed with slippers. Neal saw my insta story when I shared a sneak peak and just responded with the monkey covering his eyes emoji. *Eye roll* BUT I will admit my old favorites got a littttleee beat up this past winter. These little fleece-lined loafer slippers from Birdies are my newest favorites–they come in a bunch of colors but I got the canary yellow because, I mean, come on. They’re so cheery, and we’ve had such a gloomy spring, they’re the kind of sunshine I need in the morning! Someone who lives in my house likes to freeze me to death so these will get major use year-round.
