If you’ve been following along over here for the past year or so, you’ll know that I made some pretty big changes over the past 12 months with this little blog!
In 2016, I made it a big goal of mine to step up my content even further–I refined the list of subjects I cover (before, it was just TOO all over the place!) and made a point to include a lot more original photography. I also went through some big life changes personally–Neal and I bought our first home together, and thus home decor has also become more of a regular topic. We also got engaged (like, 2 days after that. EEEK, nbd) so wedding content has also been thrown into the mix.
I realized that posting about blogging tips on GG wasn’t a fit with all of my readers, (luckily, Blair felt the same!) so we teamed together to launch a brand new website exclusively for bloggers, called Blogging For Keeps.
In the back half of 2016, I starting working with my photographer (and now, friend!) Julie, to help me take my outfit posts, which both allowed me to do a LOT more of them, and also improved my photography immensely!
I also [finally!] re-designed my own website (which was a long time coming!) to make my content easier to navigate and read. (I especially love my new logo that my friend Katie designed for me!)
Sometimes we forget how far we’ve come in a year, you know? Does that ever happen to you? When I really dug into the details of the past year, I’m pretty proud of how far this little blog has come in 12 months!
But, are you? How have you felt about these changes? I want to hear from you guys!
What did you like about everything you’ve seen on GG the past year? What didn’t you like? What would you like to see more of? Less of?
This blog, at the end of the day, is not just a creative outlet for me, but more importantly, designed to give you guys a source of fun and inspiration. I want to make sure it stays that way!
So, if you would click here to let me know your thoughts, it would be SO appreciated! (It wont take more than a couple of minutes!)
Thank you so much for an amazing 2016, and I know we’re going to do some even cooler things together in the coming year!
