Coat: Barbour (runs small, be sure to size up! I typically wear a 0 or 2 in coats, but I’m a 4 in Barbour, to give you an idea. Also love this navy quilted version which is only $175.) // Shoes: Andre Assous from Nordstrom (currently 35% off!) // Sweater: c/o Barbour (sold out) // Bag: Hayden Harnet (old, identical here in gold and silver and under $100!) // Jeans: Henry & Belle (sold out, but similar here. If you’re in the market for jeans, I also love love this brand, and this brand.) // Scarf: Vintage (but love this one!) // Bracelet: Barney’s, Busywrist, and J.Crew (Who is having a crazy 40% off sale, by the way!)
I love the West Town neighborhood. It’s kind of like old school Wicker Park: up and coming, gritty, and an eclectic mix of literally everything–some great vintage shopping, excellent restaurants, plenty of dive bars to get lost in. It’s a Chicago neighborhood that doesn’t often get a lot of attention, but it really should–it’s one of my favorites!
So when Scotchgard Brand invited me to come along with them to the West Town Art Walk a couple months back for their “Things We Love” project, I was all over it! They set up their awesome set and demonstration booth, which essentially showed how Scotchgard Protector really works and causes liquids to bead up and run off of the protected surface. (Science! So cool.) This is the perfect solution to help protect the thing you love – because when you love something, you definitely want to make it last!
They also filmed some pretty great videos with local Chicagoans sharing personal stories of the possessions they love and how Scotchgard Protector can help protect them everyday. (We got to be in them, too! More on those later!) Neal, being the amazing sport that he is, tagged along with me for the day, and got an impromptu moment on camera, too! (He was awesome.)
It a chilly day that called for my go-to Barbour coat, a silk scarf, and suede booties (that I was sure to protect and weatherproof with Scotchgard Suede & Nubuck Protector before setting foot outside, thankfully, because it started raining!) You can read more about how to weatherproof your suede boots in this post.

How to Weatherproof Your Suede Boots (How I avoid my favorite suede boots falling victim to crazy #Chiberia weather, AKA what you Chicagoans are witnessing outside as we speak.)
