Whether you’re actually planning an upcoming trip or just day dreaming over one, let’s all take a work break (because…it’s Friday!) and talk about one of my favorite subjects: vacation wear!
I’ve received several emails and comments from some lucky duck readers over the past couple of weeks planning for upcoming warm weather getaways. You guys are a busy bunch, headed to Mexico, Arizona, California, even Thailand! Here are my favorite essentials to bring with you on spring break.
…And it’s the last day to get all of them at 25% off, too! 😉

My favorite little striped dress! It’s SO soft and looks just as cute with sneakers as it does with summery heels. It’s the perfect spring break companion.
Speaking of the beach and the pool, a pair of flip flops (cringe) is a non-negotiable essential for both. I just found this really simple nude leather pair that won’t make you feel like a huge dork. Plus, with the discount, they’re under $50!
On any warm-weather vacation, long-sleeves are key. I always, no matter how hard I try, end up with a sunburn, and a lightweight, longsleeved tunic goes a long way to protect you! Also, if you’re going to any sites that have dress code policies (temples, cathedrals, etc) this is a great item to wear since it covers your shoulders and keeps you cool!
This feminine off the shoulder dress makes it easy to go from the beach straight to dinner, and I love the sweet little pattern!
Embroidery and tassels just scream Spring Break! I’ve been loving yellow lately–it’s hard to not smile when you put it on!
Throwing one scarf in your carry-on is a must to keep you warm on the plane, but it’s also a beach bag staple. You’ll want it to help cover up any areas that got too much sun when laying by the beach!
How adorable is this wrap bikini? I also love the color. (One of those colors that can make even a pale girl look tan :-P)
I wore this on my trip to Mexico and it was such a perfect maxi. Another piece you can make work for day or night, and wear several times during your vacation. Runs TTS.
I think if you were to ask me to pick ONE prettiest pair of spring shoes–these would be them! The whole 20% off thing also makes the price tag much more reasonable!
Tassel earrings are so huge right now, I love the emerald color of this pair. They add such a fun flair to any outfit!
Ahhh my new favorite flats! I just got these Splendid sandals and they feel like butter on the feet!
I always travel in my Madewell tees! They’re so comfortable and the V is the perfect depth–not too low, but low enough to still feel pretty in a t-shirt.
Another one of my latest buys–I lovee the “Wedgie” shorts from Levi’s! Run TTS, but if you want them a bit looser, size up.
I had no idea Herschel came out with hardside luggage! (We have a few duffel bags by the brand and love them.) How cute is this white version? It comes in a larger, check-able size, too.
I love the wider brim of this boater hat! Tip: Stuff smaller items like socks, bathing suits, and undies inside, then turn it upside down and place it in your suitcase, packing your other items around it. This helps keep its shape!
This might just be the cutest midi sundress ever. You’ll definitely want to pull it out for 4th of July. (But also wear it 100 times before then, obviously.)
This tie-front tee is a little switch-up from a regular t-shirt. It’s easy to throw on with jean shorts and sandals to go exploring!
I can only imagine these are comfiest cover-up pants EVER. (I mean, they’re made by Eberjay, so you know they feel like heaven). These would be perfect for the plane with the grey tee above!
Packing wet bathing suits is the worst! This little bag is lined so you can just throw ’em in there and go! No risk of getting your other essentials all wet!
My favorite bathing suit is made by this brand, Peixoto, in almost this exact cut! The color is to die for, too!
