Romper: Sanctuary c/o Lord and Taylor, Sandals: Sam Edelman, Bag: Nordstrom, Hat: Amazon Bike: Raleigh Bikes
Guys–THANK YOU for bearing with me with my posting hiatus last week. I just had too much going on and really needed to focus on what needed to be my priority–getting my TJ’s Hacks e-Book launched!
Which, I’m excited to say, WILL BE RELEASED THIS WEEK! VERY SOON! As soon as I wrap up a few more tiny details! It will be launched first to my email list, who will get access to special free bonuses as well–like a TJ’s Meal Plan and printable grocery list–so make sure you sign up for my email list ASAP!
Anyway, HOW IS IT ALMOST LABOR DAY WEEKEND!? I know a lot of you guys will be packing up and headed to the beach for one last summer hurrah, so today, we’re talking what to wear to the beach!
What To Wear To The Beach
Linen romper:
First up–PSA: This romper is on clearance for over half off! Now it’s only $58! It’s probably been one of my most worn one-pieces of the summer. (Right behind the Amazon mumu!) It’s super breathable, and the drawstring makes it super flattering, but also easy to shimmy off for bathroom breaks. ?(Sorry if that’s TMI but like…that’s my #1 qualification for any romper.) Whether you’re biking on the boardwalk or throwing it on over a bathing suit, this is a great one-and-done outfit that will transition perfectly from swimming to cocktails on the patio!
The brand who makes this romper is Sanctuary, which I LOVE––they have a lot of really great comfortable yet chic staples––I’m eyeing this really cute linen/cotton shirt for Spain as well!
Cute Beach Bag:
I’ve had this beach bag for a couple of years now, and it’s my favorite because it’s packable–so it’s especially great when you’re going on vacation! It folds up into nothing, and holds A LOT of stuff. (Like, my favorite clean sunscreen, beach towel, a couple bottles of rosé, snacks…you know, the important things.) Need some beach reads to stash in your bag? Look no further than this post!
Easy, comfy slides:
Summery leather slides are soooo much cuter than flip flops–they don’t rub in between your toes (bleh!) and they look so much more chic than rubber sandals! This pair I’m wearing here are the Sam Edelman Bay sandals, and they are very comfortable! My other favorite pair are the Steven Greece slides–which I wore ALL over Italy!
Foldable Straw Hat:
How cute is this $18 straw hat!? Again, another cheap Amazon find–but such a good one! The inside is adjustable so it fits all head sizes! Plus, it easily rolls up so you can stash it in your bag and don’t have to worry about it getting crushed!
A couple more beach outfit ideas:
High waisted swimsuit:
If you’re looking to up your beach style game–I love a good crop top/high waisted suit combo! If you usually don’t like two piece swimsuits, this is a great one, because it has a lot more coverage than most! This bathing suit is…you guessed it…the theme of the summer–from Amazon. ?Comes in tons of colors, too! You can also get it ASAP in time for this weekend! I have more of my favorite Amazon suits linked in my Amazon shop, too, FYI! I’m wearing a small!
The Amazon Mumu:
Is it a midi dress? A maxi dress? A cover-up? A dinner dress!? ALL of the above! The dress of the summer (I’ve dubbed The Mumu–also known as the #AmazonNightgown) I cannot stop wearing is the PERFECT thing to pack for a beach vacay. (I have it in two colors and ordered a third!) Colors and sizes are selling out really fast now because of a story Glamour ran on Grace starting the mumu revolution–LOOK at all the huge news outlets that picked it up!! (I also make a cameo ?) Size up if you typically need room in the chest (I did not, I’m wearing a small. I’m 5’6 for reference because people always ask, but this dress will look cute no matter where it hits on you–maxi or midi.)
See my whole review on the Amazon mumu in this post!
Jean shorts + Cover Up:
Shorts: Agolde, Bathing Suit Cover-up: Amazon, Sandals: Steve Madden, Bathing Suit: Amazon
My favorite denim shorts of all time–this AGolde pair! Splurge-yes, but they’re basically the only pair that I wear, so when you do the cost-per-wear math, it definitely evens out! I went with my normal size because I wanted them loose, but if you want them tighter around the waist and butt, go a size down. I also love this bathing suit top and bottom (sold out in blue but other colors available!) I’ve had it for two years and wore it into the ground–I won’t say it’s the highest quality, but it’s really cute and a crazy price! **Not remotely supportive though, fair warning. I also got this tunic to wear on my honeymoon and it’s been a staple ever since!
See my jean shorts review in this post! (Includes another budget-friendly alternative, too!)
Easy Tunic:
Tunic: Kos Resort (The blue is old out, but still available in pink, also love this one!), Sunnies: Ray-Ban
I love this cute little tunic! It’s adorable as a top or alone as a cover-up. Super lightweight, so it keeps you cool! Will definitely be bringing this to Spain with us!
Hope you have a fab Monday!
