We had a fun, but VERY packed weekend–and it’s not letting up anytime soon–we’ve got another busy week ahead! As much as it makes me sad when it gets dark early, I’m looking forward to daylight savings change (it happens on November 3rd, btw) because it is nearly impossible for me to drag myself out of bed when it’s dark out! BAH. Definitely getting a later start to my morning than originally planned! You too!?
Wubby Fleece Review
Today is a quick, but fun post, because my beloved Thread and Supply Wubby Fleece (that I wear all day every day–basically anytime I’m in the house–all fall and winter) is on sale for $49 at 35% off! ??
I got this new cream version as part of the Nordstrom sale, but wore my grey one from last year SO much–I decided I could use another one to throw into the rotation! Last year, it sold out around the holidays and couldn’t be found ANYWHERE after the fact, so now is a great time to snag it if you’ve been wanting one!
It’s hands down the most-worn sweatshirt I’ve ever owned (which is why I rationalized purchasing it in two colors, haha)! I always get so many questions about it whenever I post it on stories, so I thought it deserved its own post today!
FAQ’s about the Wubby Fleece:
What size should you get?
You should size down because it runs big and it’s boxy. I have an XS in this cream one you see here, but my grey one from last year is a small, and it’s a lot bigger/more oversized!
Is it the same soft fabric inside? Or is it lined?
Last year’s sweatshirt was lined with a super soft jersey material (which is so comfy), but the cream one I got this year actually isn’t–which I love too. I believe this year’s grey version is the same as well–the soft sheep-like material against your skin is enough to make you look forward to freezing temperatures. ?
Is it warm?
SO WARM. It’s the warmest thing I have to throw on over my PJ’s in the morning or at night. It’s definitely warmer than a bathrobe. If you’re someone who is always cold, you will LOVE this.
I can’t decide on sizing! What should I do?!
Order two sizes and return the one that doesn’t work. Nordstrom always has free shipping and free returns! Because last year they sold out and when they were gone, they were gone. I’d err on the side of caution and order multiple sizes at the same time, because sometimes by the time you get it, and try it on, and want to exchange for a different size, they’ll be sold out! (Or not on sale anymore!)
How to style a wubby fleece to make it look cute?
Tip: As is the case whenever you have something boxy up on top, you’ll want something form-fitting on the bottom. Because the sweater adds bulk on the top and you’ll want to balance it out. That means skinny jeans, leggings, etc are going to be a better option than say, straight leg or wide-leg cropped jeans. Here are three ideas on how to style it:
With skinny jeans and loafers:
A go-to pairing for the Wubby Fleece is a great pair of skinny jeans. I LOVE these skinny jeans which are the AG Farrah skinny jeans–they are SO insanely stretchy and soft (they basically feel like super soft cloth!) ALSO–they’re 33% off right now!
BTW if you’re in the market for new jeans, see Real Women Approved: Best Jeans for Every Body Type, According to Readers!
Here, I’ve paired the jeans and Wubby with leopard loafers, which add a really stylish, polished element to the outfit and make it a little bit more chic and sophisticated! (The pair I’m wearing here is sold out but this is my other favorite pair that I’ve had for years!)
With leather leggings and booties:
Want to be comfortable, cozy but stylish? Look like you put in a little effort even though you didn’t? ? Pair your Wubby with faux leather leggings (Spanx and Commando make my favorite pairs!) and some chic booties! (The ones I’m wearing here are almost sold out–I LOVE them–but this pair is similar!)
With skinny jeans and sneakers:
Same skinny jeans as above–the AG Farrah skinny jeans–they are SO insanely stretchy and soft (they basically feel like super soft cloth!) ALSO–they’re 33% off right now! Crazy how different an outfit can look with just a swap of shoes, right!? I love the look of a great crisp white sneaker! (The pair I’m wearing here is sold out–they went so fast during the Nordstrom sale–but these are similar, and I also love my Tretorns which give the same polished preppy look!)
