It’s been a hot second since we’ve caught up on what’s been going on behind the scenes lately! It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but here’s what we’ve been up to…
If you follow me on Instagram stories, you’ll know a couple weekends back I hosted a fun “Sparkling and Savasana” yoga event with Henry’s Hard Sparkling and some of my blogger besties at Mahalo! We had the best turnout EVER and were so excited to see so many of you there! So many in fact, that we opted out of doing the actual yoga portion to make more room for everyone else, and sat downstairs and caught up. (Which is good, because it seems like we have so much less time to hang out together than we used to! Sad!)
After the yoga portion, we came back upstairs to join everyone for Henry’s and brunch bites! (They even had a Poké station which Neal was freaking out over.) See below (and the one above. Be cuter, Neal.) for some fun photos from the event!
I’ve also been meeting with Blair a lot working on some awesome things for Blogging For Keeps behind the scenes! Keep your eyes peeled for some big news that we’re announcing in June! You’ll definitely want to be on our email list to get some special offers, too, so if you’re a blogger and haven’t joined yet, pop right over here!
As the wedding gets closer, I’m aiming to be healthy during the week but still let myself have a life on the weekends. Some of my week-night go-to’s are healthy lettuce wraps, and Trader Joe’s turkey bolognese with whole what pasta! Our favorite weekend spots lately have been Piece pizza (I think this might be my favorite pizza spot in the city right now. It’s SO GOOD.) Club Lucky (our favorite neighborhood Italian spot), and we’re heading to Bavettes this Friday!
I’ve been trying to drink as much water as possible (Blair is the best influence!) because it makes me feel so much better! I’m also starting to cut back on beer with the wedding looming closer, so I’ve started swapping it for Henry’s because it has way less calories! (I tried the lemon-lime flavor at the event and it tastes JUST like LaCroix!) I think that’s going to be my main go-to beverage swap this summer! I’ve also started making iced americano in the mornings by brewing my Nespresso over ice! (Have you tried it? So good!)
Lolë! (What I’m wearing in these photos!) Have you heard of them? I talked about them on insta-stories last week, but they’re a Canadian brand based in Montreal who makes great activewear. I got this sports bra and matching hydrangea yoga pants just in time for our Sparkling and Savasana event at Mahalo, and I love them. I also got this “Air” yoga mat, which is reversible, super lightweight, and has the best grip of any yoga mat I’ve tried! I love love the brand so far and I like that prices are reasonable, too! (Think similar price point as Athleta!)
I feel like we’re in kind of a lull right now, but at the moment I’m trying to nail down some decor decisions. What are your thoughts on white tablecloths vs. grey tablecloths with greenery and brass candlesticks? Also, should I get creative with the table numbers/ names or do we think I should just give it a rest? Also we’ve been finalizing our invitations from Minted and I can’t wait to show them to you! (Any guesses on what they look like!?)
My new favorite yoga outfit: this sports bra/crop and these pants!
Lot’s of Henry’s flowing!
We were due for another “engagement” style BFF photo 😛
How pretty is the upstairs room at Mahalo? It was the perfect setting for the event!
What have you been up to lately?
Thanks to Henry’s Hard Sparkling for sponsoring this post!
